BETHLEHEM, Pa. – No. 1 Lehigh, No. 2 Army West Point, No. 5 Holy Cross, and No. 6 Bucknell advanced to Thursday’s semifinal round of the 2025 PenFed Credit Union Patriot League Women’s Basketball Championship.
 
The Patriot League women’s basketball semifinal-round games are set for Thursday, as No. 1 Lehigh will host No. 5 Holy Cross, and No. 2 Army West Point will welcome No. 6 Bucknell. Live coverage of both semifinal matchups begins at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh’s tight defense and balanced scoring propelled the Mountain Hawks to a 62-44 win over Boston University, securing a spot in the Patriot League semifinals.
*Lehigh opened the game on a 14-4 run, capitalizing on their quick pace up the floor. Boston University closed the quarter on a 6-2 run to trail 16-10 after one quarter.
*Lehigh used an 8-2 run and strong defense in the second quarter to extend their lead to 11 points at halftime.
*After the Terriers scored the first basket of the second half, Lehigh responded with a 10-2 run to push their lead to 19 points. The Mountain Hawks led 54-38 entering the fourth quarter.
*Lehigh maintained its double-digit lead with stifling defense, holding Boston University to just six points in the final frame.
*Fifth-year forward Maddie Albrecht and senior forward Lily Fandre led Lehigh with 16 points each. Senior guard Ella Stemmer added 11 points, while senior guard Colleen McQuillen contributed six points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
*Freshman forward Allison Schwertner paced the Terriers with 10 points and seven rebounds.

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point dominated the boards en route to a 55-40 win over Lafayette, advancing to the semifinal round.
*The Leopards opened the game on an 8-2 run after junior forward Emma Shields made a layup. Junior forward Sauda Ntaconayigize capped the quarter with a three on Lafayette’s final possession to take a 12-6 lead.
*The Black Knights responded in the second quarter, outscoring the Leopards, 15-7, to take a 21-19 lead at halftime.
*Army West Point carried its momentum into the second half, outscoring Lafayette, 20-10, while shooting 9-of-18 from the field. The Black Knights kept their lead at double digits for the remainder of the game to secure the win.
*Army West Point controlled the glass, outrebounding Lafayette, 49-30, including a 23-4 advantage on the offensive boards, leading to 24 second-chance points.
*Junior guard Reese Ericson led the Black Knights with 13 points, while sophomore forward Fiona Hastick added 12 points.
*Sophomore forward Tasha Chudy scored a team-high 12 points for the Leopards, with sophomore guard Teresa Kiewiet adding 11 points.

HAMILTON, N.Y. – A dominant fourth quarter powered Bucknell to a 63-58 upset victory over Colgate, securing a spot in the semifinal round.
*After the Bison scored the first basket of the game, Colgate responded with six straight points before Bucknell battled back to lead 14-13 after the first quarter.
*The Bison opened the second quarter with an 11-0 run, highlighted by three baskets in the paint from sophomore forward Ashley Sofilkanich. Colgate chipped away at the deficit to trail 32-25 at halftime.
*Colgate regained the lead with three minutes remaining in the third quarter following a 13-3 run, capped off by a three pointer from senior forward Sophia Diehl. The Raiders led 46-42 heading into the fourth quarter.
*Tied at 55 with one minute remaining, freshman Reese Zemitis nailed a deep three pointer to put Bucknell ahead. The Bison secured the win by converting free throws in the final minute.
*Sofilkanich led Bucknell with 28 points, while junior forward Isabella King and Emma Zemitis scored 13 points each.
*Senior guard Taylor Golembiewski paced Colgate with 20 points, while senior guard Morgan McMahon added 14 points and junior guard Anee Bair contributed 10 points.

Annapolis, Md. – Holy Cross’ balanced scoring lifted the Crusaders past Navy, 66-52, to advance to the Patriot League Women’s Basketball semifinals.
*The Crusaders jumped out to an early 10-4 lead after senior forward Lindsay Berger scored consecutive baskets, carrying a 15-6 advantage into the second quarter.
*Holy Cross maintained its momentum in the second quarter, extending the lead to 11 points at halftime.
*The Mids opened the second half on a 9-2 run behind five points from sophomore guard Zanai Barnett-Gay, trimming the deficit to 45-39 heading into the final quarter.
*The Crusaders pulled away in the fourth, outscoring Navy 21-13 to secure the win.
*Holy Cross had five players score in double figures, led by Berger’s team-high 19 points. Junior guard Kendall Eddy added 15 points off the bench, while junior guards Kaitlyn Flanagan and Simone Foreman each scored 11 points. Junior forward Megan Cahalan contributed 10 points.
*Barnett-Gay led the Mids with 19 points, while freshman guard Julianna Almeida added 17 points on 8-of-16 shooting.
