BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Top-seeded Lehigh (27-5, 15-3 PL) used a dominant second half to pull away from No. 2 Army West Point (24-6, 14-4 PL) on Sunday at Stabler Arena to capture the 2025 PenFed Credit Union Patriot League Women’s Basketball title and punch its ticket to the 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship.
Patriot League Coach of the Year Addie Micir and the Mountain Hawks earned the program’s fifth Patriot League crown behind a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double from Championship MVP Maddie Albrecht (5th, F). Senior guards Ella Stemmer and Colleen McQuillen joined Albrecht on the 2025 Patriot League Women’s Basketball All-Tournament Team.
Army West Point was led by 20 points from senior guard Trinity Hardy, who earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Junior guard Reese Ericson also claimed a spot after averaging 10 points per game in the Patriot League Championship.
Bucknell sophomore forward Ashley Sofilkanich earned All-Tournament honors after averaging 20.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in the Bison’s two games.
The Mountain Hawks will learn their postseason seed and destination on Sunday, March 16, at 8 p.m. when the field of 68 is revealed during the 2025 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship Selection Show on CBS.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. –Lehigh’s dominant second half pushed the Mountain Hawks past Army West Point, 74-62, as the Mountain Hawks earned their fifth Patriot League title in program history.
*The Black Knights opened the game on a 5-0 run as sophomore guard Camryn Tade scored all five points. Lehigh responded by outscoring Army West Point 14-9 for the remainder of the quarter to enter the second tied at 14.
*The Mountain Hawks carried that momentum into the second quarter, opening on an 11-0 run, capped by a corner 3-pointer from junior forward Lily Fandre.
*Army West Point battled back to take a 32-30 halftime lead after closing the first half on an 18-5 run over the final 7:34.
*In a quarter that saw five lead changes, the Mountain Hawks built a five-point lead as senior guard Ella Stemmer knocked down a wing 3-pointer to take a 50-45 advantage into the final frame.
*Lehigh pulled away early in the fourth quarter with a 14-4 run, highlighted by another corner 3-pointer from Fandre in front of the Lehigh bench to extend the lead to 15.
*Lehigh was paced by fifth-year forward Maddie Albrecht, senior guard Colleen McQuillen, and Fandre, who each scored 13 points.
*Stemmer added 12 points, while senior guard Remi Sisselman provided a spark off the bench, scoring 11 points in 11 minutes on a perfect 4-of-4 from the field.
*Senior guard Trinity Hardy led the Black Knights with 20 points. Tade contributed 17 points, while sophomore guard Fiona Hastick chipped in 12.
