LEHIGH RELEASE
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh (27-6, 15-3 Patriot League), the 2025 Patriot League champion, earned a No. 15 seed in the Birmingham 1 Region of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship. The Mountain Hawks will face No. 2 Duke in the first round at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Friday.
This marks the first-ever meeting between Lehigh and Duke. Tipoff time is to be announced.
Patriot League Coach of the Year Addie Micir led Lehigh to its fifth NCAA Tournament appearance after the Mountain Hawks claimed their fifth League title with a 74-62 victory over Army West Point.
Championship MVP Maddie Albrecht recorded a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double in the title game. Senior guards Colleen McQuillen and Ella Stemmer joined Albrecht on the All-Tournament Team.
Scouting Duke
The Blue Devils (26-7, 14-4 ACC) won the ACC Tournament to capture their ninth conference title. Duke defeated Louisville (61-48), Notre Dame (61-56), and NC State (76-62) en route to the championship.
The Blue Devils enter the NCAA Tournament on a seven-game winning streak and hold a 13-1 road record. Their last loss came against Louisville on Feb. 20. Duke is led by freshman forward Toby Fournier and sophomore guard Oluchi Okananwa, who was named ACC Tournament MVP.
