Patriot League Golfers of the Week Announced (4.2.25)

Colgate’s Freedman and Hill and Bucknell’s Bardunias collect weekly honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. Bucknell freshman Sophia Bardunias was named Patriot League Women’s Golfer of the Week when the League office announced awards on Wednesday. Colgate first-year’s Jayden Freedman and Alex Hill received Co-Men’s Golfers of the Week honors.
 
Bucknell’s Bardunias claimed her third Patriot League Women’s Golfer of the Week this season after tying for first place at The Intercollegiate at Prospect Bay by shooting a 14-over par 230 (79-75-76) at the par-72 Prospect Bay Country Club in Grasonville, Md.
 
Colgate first-year’s Jayden Freedman and Alex Hill earned Patriot League Co-Men’s Golfers of the Week after tying for second place with matching 3-under par 141s at the Battle at Rum Pointe at the par-72 Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links in Berlin, Md.
 
Boston University sophomore Amy Han and Lafayette freshman Travis Robertson received honorable mentions for their performances.
 
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Sophia Bardunias, Bucknell, Fr., San Ramon, Calif./Monte Vista
*Bardunias tied for first place at The Intercollegiate at Prospect Bay by carding a 14-over par 230 (79-75-76) at the par-72 Prospect Bay Country Club in Grasonville, Md.
*The San Ramon, Calif. native led the Bison to a first-place tie out of nine teams.  
 
PATRIOT LEAGUE CO-MEN'S GOLFERS OF THE WEEK
Jayden Freedman, Colgate, Fy., Boca Raton, Fla./Pine Crest       
*Freedman tied for second place out of 93 competitors at the Battle at Rum Pointe by shooting a 3-under par 141 (71-70) at the par-72 Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links in Berlin, Md.
*He helped the Raiders tie for second out of 15 teams with a 1-under par 575 (288-287) team score.  
 
Alex Hill, Colgate, Fy., Victor, N.Y./McQuaid Jesuit
*Hill carded a 3-under par 141 (72-69) to tie for second place out of 93 golfers at the Battle at Rum Pointe.
*He helped the Raiders tie for second out of 15 teams with a 1-under par 575 (288-287) team score.

*Han finished 28th out of 95 competitors at the ECU Ironwood Invitational by shooting a 13-over par 229 (76-75-78) at the par-72 Ironwood Golf and Country Club in Greenville, N.C.
 
Travis Robertson, Lafayette, Fr., Palm Beach, Fla./The Benjamin School
*Robertson fired an 8-over par 148 (74-74) at the Columbia Spring Invitational to tie for 20th place out of 72 golfers at the par-70 Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, Pa. The Leopards placed sixth out of 12 teams.
