BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh collected two of four Patriot League football weekly awards when the League office announced honors, presented by Credit Union 1, on Monday. Lafayette and Bucknell each secured one weekly accolade.
Lafayette junior running back Kente Edwards claimed his second straight Patriot League Football Offensive Player of the Week award. Edwards rushed for 255 yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries in the Leopards’ 42-37 win at Georgetown.
Lehigh senior linebacker Tyler Ochojski was selected Patriot League Football Defensive Player of the Week after finishing with five tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble in the Mountain Hawks’ 35-21 win at Duquesne.
Lehigh sophomore punter/kicker Connor Poole received the Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week. He averaged 52.4 yards per punt on six attempts, pinning two inside the Duquesne 20-yard line. He recorded a career-long 57-yard punt in the second quarter.
Bucknell freshman safety Zachary Corna collected Patriot League Football Rookie of the Week after posting 12 tackles, including nine solo tackles, in the Bison’s 35-28 victory over VMI to improve to 2-1.
Bucknell junior wide receiver Sam Milligan, Colgate fifth-year linebacker Elijah Hamilton, and junior wide receiver Reed Swanson, Holy Cross junior safety Garrett Baldwin, and sophomore punter Ethan Moss, Lafayette junior safety Avery Jones and Lehigh sophomore quarterback Hayden Johnson received honorable mentions for their performances last week.
The Patriot League football players of the week are selected in a vote by League media members and each school’s football athletics communications contacts, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Patriot League Football Offensive Player of the Week
Kente Edwards, Lafayette, Jr., RB, Annandale, N.J./North Hunterdon
*Edwards posted career-highs with 255 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries to lead Lafayette to a 42-37 victory over Lafayette in their League opener.
*The junior running back scored on touchdown runs of 70, 28, 1 and 51 yards, with the final two coming in the fourth quarter to seal the Leopards’ win.
Patriot League Football Defensive Player of the Week
Tyler Ochojski, Lehigh, Sr., LB, Freehold, N.J./Freehold Boro
*Ochojski posted five tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble to lead Lehigh’s defense in a 35-21 victory at Duquesne to remain undefeated.
*The senior linebacker helped seal the game with a fourth-quarter sack/forced fumble that allowed the Mountain Hawks to control possession for the rest of the game.
Patriot League Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Connor Poole, Lehigh, So., P/K, Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport
*Poole averaged 52.4 yards per punt on five attempts, pinning two inside the Duquesne 20-yard line in Lehigh’s 35-21 win to remain undefeated.
*The sophomore punter posted a career-long 57-yard punt in the second quarter. He also had six kickoffs for an average of 58 yards, including three touchbacks.
Patriot League Football Rookie of the Week
Zachary Corna, Bucknell, Fr., S, Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington
*Corna registered 12 tackles, including nine solo stops, in his first collegiate start to help Bucknell down VMI, 35-28.
*The freshman safety made seven tackles in the second half and helped the Bison limit the Keydets to 59 rushing yards.
Honorable Mentions
Sam Milligan, Bucknell, Jr., WR, Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven
*Milligan finished with seven receptions for 192 yards and a Bucknell single-game record four touchdown catches in the Bison’s 35-28 win over VMI. His final touchdown catch, with 1:49 remaining in the game, broke a 28-28 tie.
Elijah Hamilton, Colgate, 5th, LB, Parker, Colo./Valor Christian
*Hamilton posted a career-high 12 tackles, including 11 solo tackles, in the Raiders’ loss against ACC opponent Syracuse. He forced a fumble deep in Syracuse territory to help set up the Raiders’ first points of the game, a 39-yard field goal in the first quarter.
Reed Swanson, Colgate, Jr., WR, Glen Gardner, N.J./Wyoming Seminary
*Swanson caught seven passes for a career-high 110 yards and two touchdowns in Colgate’s 66-24 loss at Syracuse on Friday. The junior wide receiver scored on consecutive possessions in the third quarter, helping the Raiders score their most points against the Orange since 1981.
Ethan Moss, Holy Cross, So., P, Brentwood, N.H./Phillips Exeter Academy
*Moss averaged 42.3 yards per punt on six attempts, including a 51-yard punt in the Crusaders’ 9-7 loss against No. 5/6 Rhode Island. Four of his punts fell inside the Rams’ 20-yard line, including two inside the 10-yard line.
Garrett Baldwin, Holy Cross, Jr., S, Ann Arbor, Mich./Saline
*Baldwin finished with a team-high nine tackles, seven solo, with one TFL for a loss of five yards in the Crusaders’ 9-7 loss vs. No. 5/6 Rhode Island. He helped Holy Cross hold the Rams without a touchdown.
Avery Jones, Lafayette, Jr., S, Philadelphia, Pa./Mount St. Joseph
*Jones recorded a career-high nine tackles to lead the Leopards’ defense in a 42-37 victory over Georgetown. He helped Lafayette hold the Hoyas to 90 rushing yards.
Hayden Johnnson, Lehigh, So., QB, Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township
*Johnson threw for a career-high 224 yards and matched a career-best three touchdown passes in Lehigh’s 35-21 victory at Duquesne. The sophomore quarterback completed 17-of-25 pass attempts, including a 54-yard touchdown pass to Geoffrey Jamiel to tie his longest career completion.
