Patriot League Announces Field Hockey Players of the Week presented by Credit Union 1 (9.22.25)

Lafayette received three weekly honors, and American claimed two in 2-0 weeks for both squads

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lafayette collected three of the five Patriot League field hockey weekly awards when the League office announced honors, presented by Credit Union 1, on Monday. American received two weekly accolades.  
 
American junior Jordan Reicher was voted Patriot League Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week after scoring two goals in two games, including the game-winner in the Eagles’ 2-0 victory at Boston University.  
 
The Eagles’ graduate student Agustina Roffo claimed Patriot League Field Hockey Midfielder of the Week. She scored the double-overtime, game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Providence.
 
Lafayette junior Lena Thedrian was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week for the first time this season after scoring one goal and helping limit No. 16 Penn State to 11 shots and seven corners in a 3-2 win in a shootout.  
 
Leopards’ senior goalkeeper Raffi Fragomeni captured Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week recognition after making nine saves in a 3-2 shootout win against No. 16 Penn State. She also shut out League rival Lehigh, 2-0, on Friday.
 
Lafayette freshman forward Lauren Kurek was named the Patriot League Field Hockey Rookie of the Week after scoring the game-tying goal in the Leopards’ 3-2 shootout win over the 16th-ranked Nittany Lions.
 
American senior goalkeeper Pauline Gineste, freshman defender Lotti Sume, Boston University senior forward Caroline O’Brien, Bucknell senior defender Kira Leclercq and senior midfielder Nicky Punt and Lafayette junior forward Stella Malinowski received honorable mentions for their performances last week.
 
The Patriot League field hockey players of the week are selected in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Patriot League Credit Union 1 Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week
Jordan Reicher, American, Jr., Forward, Redwood City, Calif./Saint Francis
*Reicher scored two goals in two games, including the game-winning goal in the Eagles’ 2-0 win over Boston University, to help American go 2-0 last week.
*The junior forward scored the game-tying goal against Providence in the third quarter to help force overtime in an eventual 2-1 victory.

Agustina Roffo, American, Gr., Midfielder, Buenos Aires, Argentina/Holmberg Schula-Colegio Aleman de Quilmes
*Roffo scored goals in American’s wins against Boston University (2-0) and Providence (2-1, 2OT) to help the Eagles go 2-0 last week.
*The Argentina native scored the game-winning goal in double overtime against the Friars. She also scored the second goal in AU’s win over BU on Friday.  
 
Patriot League Credit Union 1 Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week
Lena Thedrian, Lafayette, Jr., Defender, Hamburg, Germany/Rudolf Steiner Schule Hamburg-Wandsbek
*Thedrian recorded an assist and led a Leopards’ defense that limited Lehigh to five shots and three corners in a 3-0 victory on Friday.
*The junior defender scored one goal and helped limit No. 16 Penn State to 11 shots on goal and seven corners in a 3-2 shootout win.
 
Patriot League Credit Union 1 Field Hockey Goalkeeper of the Week
Raffi Fragomeni, Lafayette, Sr., Goalkeeper, Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes
*Fragomeni made nine saves, including three in the second overtime, before stopping four of five shootout attempts in Lafayette’s 3-2 win over No. 16 Penn State.
*She recorded a shutout, finishing with two saves, in Lafayette’s 3-0 League-opening win against Rival Lehigh on Friday.
 
Patriot League Credit Union 1 Field Hockey Rookie of the Week
Lauren Kurek, Lafayette, Fr., Forward, Collegeville, Pa./Villa Maria
*Against No. 16 Penn State, Kurek scored Lafayette’s second goal to send the game to overtime in an eventual 3-2 shootout win.
*The freshman forward leads the Leopards with seven points on three goals and one assist.
 
Honorable Mentions
Pauline Gineste, American, Sr., Goalkeeper, Charlottesville, Va./The Covenant School
*Gineste posted a .909 save percentage and 0.67 goals-against average (GAA) in wins against Boston University (2-0) and Providence (2-1, 2OT). She matched her career high with eight saves against the Terriers.
 
Lotti Sume, American, Fr., Defender, Hamburg, Germany/Gymnasium Oberalster
*Sume played every minute in American’s wins over Boston University (2-0) and Providence (2-1, 2OT). She assisted the game-winning goal against the Terriers while helping hold the Friars to five shots and three on goal.  
 
Caroline O’Brien, Boston University, Sr., Forward, Devon, Pa./Villa Maria Academy
*O’Brien scored three goals in the Terriers’ 3-0 victory against Bryant on Sunday. The senior forward is tied for the League lead in points (14) and is second in goals (5).  
 
Kira Leclercq, Bucknell, Sr., Defender, Berlin, Germany/ Vicco von Bülow Gymnasium Stahnsdorf
*Leclercq scored two goals in Bucknell’s 5-0 victory over Colgate. She led a Bison defense that limited the Raiders to six shots, and just four on goal.
 
Nicky Punt, Bucknell, Sr., Midfielder, Rotterdam, The Netherlands/Erasmiaans Gymnasium
*Punt recorded three assists in Bucknell’s 5-0 victory over Colgate on Friday. Her 21 career assists are tied for eighth in Bison program history.  
 
Stella Malinowski, Lafayette, Jr., Forward, Vancouver, B.C./Little Flower Academy
*Malinowski scored one goal in Lafayette’s 3-0 victory against Lehigh on Friday, then scored the initial shootout goal in the Leopards’ 3-2 (2-1) victory over No. 16 Penn State.
