BETHLEHEM, Pa. – For the second straight week, American, Bucknell and Colgate each received one Patriot League women’s volleyball weekly award, presented by Credit Union One, when the League office announced the honors on Tuesday.
For the third time in her career, Colgate junior outside hitter Milan Bayless was named Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week after leading the Raiders to a 2-0 weekend with 36 kills.
Bucknell junior libero Cameron Lloyd collected Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week honors after recording 48 digs and 1.000 reception percentage in a 2-0 weekend.
American freshman outside hitter Sophie Dufour earned Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week recognition for the third straight week after totaling 30 kills, 29 digs and eight service aces across two matches.
Honorable mentions went to American sophomore libero Bella Marrero, Army West Point sophomore Michelle Parker, Bucknell senior setter Caleigh O’Connell, Colgate first-year right-side hitter Jordyn Moore and senior middle blocker Maddie Rudolph, as well as Lafayette freshman right-side hitter Jada Aksu.
The Patriot League women’s volleyball players of the week are selected in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their own student-athletes.

Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week
Milan Bayless, Colgate, Jr., Outside Hitter, San Diego, Calif./Cathedral Classic
*Bayless helped Colgate to a 2-0 weekend to open Patriot League play, totaling 36 kills, 13 digs, five blocks and three service aces.
*The Preseason Player of the Year tallied 22 kills and eight digs in a five-set win at American before posting 14 kills, five digs and four blocks at Loyola Maryland.
*The San Diego native leads the Patriot League in kills (169), kills per set (3.84), points (198.5) and points per set (4.51).
*This marks the third time in her career she was named Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week.
Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week
Cameron Lloyd, Bucknell, Jr., Libero, Chapel Hill, N.C./Cedar Ridge
*Lloyd finished with 48 digs (6.00 per set) and a 1.000 reception rate in a 2-0 weekend for Bucknell that included wins over Lehigh (3-1) and Lafayette (3-1). The junior added nine assists and two aces.
*The Chapel Hill, N.C. native ranks third in the Patriot League in digs (189) and fourth in digs per set (4.40).
Patriot League Women’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Sophie Dufour, American, Fr., Outside Hitter, Frankfort, Ky./Franklin County
*Dufour earned her third straight Rookie of the Week honor after totaling 30 kills, 29 digs and eight aces in a 1-1 weekend for American.
*The freshman posted 18 kills, 20 digs and six aces in a five-set loss to Colgate before adding 12 kills and nine digs in a 3-1 win over Army West Point.
*The Frankfort, Ky. native ranks second in the Patriot League in kills (167), kills per set (3.80), points (188) and points per set (4.27).

Bella Marrero, American, So., Libero, Burbank, Calif./Campbell Hall
*Marrero totaled 45 digs across American’s two matches, including a game-high 26 digs in a five-set loss to Colgate. The sophomore added seven assists, four aces and .930 reception percentage on 57 attempts.
*The Burbank, Calif. native ranks second in the Patriot League in digs (200) and digs per set (4.55).
Michelle Parker, Army West Point, So., Middle Blocker, Suffolk, Va./Nansemond River
*Parker finished Army West Point’s 1-1 weekend with 17 kills on a .517 hitting percentage and 10 blocks. The sophomore led the Black Knights to a 3-1 win at Navy on Friday with 10 kills and seven blocks.
Caleigh O’Connell, Bucknell, Sr., Setter, Bedford, N.H./Bedford
*O’Connell helped Bucknell to a 2-0 weekend with 93 assists (11.63 per set), 19 digs and 10 kills. The senior had 43 assists and six digs in the win over Lehigh (3-1) before recording a double-double on 50 assists and 13 digs in the four-set victory at Lafayette.
*The Bedford, N.H. native is second in the Patriot League in assists (399) and assists per set (9.28).
Jordyn Moore, Colgate, Fy., Right-Side Hitter, Argyle, Texas/Argyle
*Moore totaled 18 kills, six digs and six blocks in a 2-0 weekend for Colgate, highlighted by a career-high 12 kills in a five-set win at American. In her first career start at Loyola Maryland, Moore had six kills and three blocks.
Maddie Rudolph, Colgate, Sr., Middle Blocker, West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan
*In Colgate’s 2-0 weekend, Rudolph logged eight kills on .350 hitting percentage, six digs and 14 blocks, including a career-high 10 blocks in a 3-1 win at Loyola Maryland.
Jada Aksu, Lafayette, Fr., Right-Side/Opposite Hitter
*Aksu recorded 26 kills in a 1-1 weekend for Lafayette, highlighted by a career-high 14 kills on a .478 hitting percentage, along with five blocks and two digs, in a sweep of Lehigh.
