BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lafayette, Holy Cross, Bucknell, Colgate and Boston University each claimed one of the five Patriot League field hockey weekly awards when the League office announced honors, presented by Credit Union 1, on Monday.
Lafayette junior forward Lea Good was voted Patriot League Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week after scoring two goals in the Leopards’ 6-0 victory over Longwood on Friday.
Holy Cross junior midfielder Saskia Williams earned midfielder of the week honors, totaling three points on one goal and one assist in two games last week.
Bucknell senior defender Kira Leclercq was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week after registering an assist in a 3-0 shutout win vs. Saint Francis and scoring a goal in a loss against Temple.
Colgate senior goalkeeper Claire van Kempen captured Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week recognition after making seven saves with a .778 save percentage in a loss against Cornell.
Boston University freshman defender Rachel Turer was named the Patriot League Field Hockey Rookie of the Week after scoring a goal in the Terriers’ 3-2 loss at Vermont on Friday.
American junior forward Jordan Reicher, Bucknell junior goalkeeper Sarah Althouse, and senior midfielder Nicky Punt, Colgate senior defender Ahria Dhillon, and senior midfielder Anna Lochhead and Lafayette freshman midfielder Rosalie van Gool received honorable mentions for their performances last week.
The Patriot League field hockey players of the week are selected in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

*Althouse recorded a .727 save percentage and 2.25 goals-against average (GAA) to help Bucknell split two games last week. She recorded her fifth career shutout in a 3-0 win against Saint Francis on Friday.
