PATRIOT LEAGUE MEN’S BASKETBALL WEDNESDAY MATCHUPS (HOW TO WATCH/LISTEN)
The 36th season of Patriot League play continues on Wednesday, with five League matchups available on
ESPN+.
•Boston University welcomes Lehigh for a 6 p.m. meeting, with both teams in the midst of two-game win streaks. Lehigh’s Alvey (21.8 ppg) and BU’s McNair (20.3 ppg) rank in the PL’s top four scorers in League play.
•Army West Point looks to snap a three-game slide when it travels to Holy Cross for a 6 p.m. tip. The Crusaders are coming off an 84-73 victory at American.
•Loyola Maryland takes on Colgate at 7 p.m., with both teams coming off losses on Saturday. The Raiders have won nine of the last 10 meetings between the programs, but the Greyhounds won the last meeting at Reitz Arena.
•Bucknell hosts Lafayette for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off at Sojka Pavilion, with the Bison winning the last three meetings. The two Pennsylvania programs meet for the 182nd time in series history, with the Leopards holding a 95-86 edge.

MCNAIR WINS LOU HENSON AWARD NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Boston U Jr. G Michael McNair was named the Lou Henson Award National Mid-Major Player of the Week when it was announced by CollegeInsider.com on Jan. 12. He averaged 28.5 points, hitting 12-of-16 3-pointers in the Terriers’ wins against Lafayette and Army West Point. McNair scored a career-high 29 points vs. Lafayette on Jan. 7. He followed it up with 28 points in a 100-91 win vs. the Black Knights for BU’s first 100-point game against a League opponent since 1989.
BENIGNI REACHES EXCLUSIVE CLUB
Navy Sr. G Austin Benigni eclipsed 1,600 points in the Mids’ victory over Lafayette on Jan. 10 to become the fourth Patriot League men’s basketball student-athlete to reach 1,600 points and 400 assists. He surpassed 400 career assists on Jan. 3 in the Mids’ win vs. Holy Cross. Benigni ranks 29th in League history with 1,626 points and 26th with 413 assists.

KEHOE LEADS NCAA DI FG PCT. AND DOUBLE-DOUBLE LEADERS
Navy Sr. C Aidan Kehoe leads NCAA DI in field-goal percentage, connecting at a 71.9 percent (110-of-153) clip from the field through 17 games. Kehoe is shooting 78.7 percent (37-of-47) in five League games. The senior center is also 12th in NCAA DI with eight double-doubles.
MCNAIR SHOOTING WITH DI’S BEST FROM DEEP
Boston U. Jr. G Michael McNair is fifth in NCAA DI in 3-point field-goal percentage, connecting on 49.2 percent (59-of-120) of his attempts through 17 games. McNair has hit a League season-high seven 3-pointers in games against Penn State (Nov. 25) and Army West Point (Jan. 10). McNair is tied for fifth in Patriot League history from beyond the arc, shooting 42.4 percent for his career. This season, he is third in the League in scoring (16.6 ppg). Navy’s Austin Benigni (47.2), Loyola’s Troy Cicero (43.9) and Sam Springer (43.5) and American’s Wyatt Nausadis (42.1) are the League’s top five from beyond the arc.
JALEN COX LEADING THE RAIDERS
Jr. G Jalen Cox is delivering on his Preseason All-Patriot League expectations, ranking fourth in the League in scoring (16.3 ppg), leading the PL in assists (5.3 apg) and third in steals (1.8 apg) through 16 games. Cox is sixth in scoring in League play, averaging 18.3 points in three games. His half-court heave as time expired lifted the Raiders to a victory at Siena on Monday, Nov. 17. The game-winning buzzer-beater earned the No. 1 play on SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays segment.
FIVE ROOKIES AMONG THE PL TOP 20 SCORING LEADERS
Five freshmen are among the Patriot League’s top 20 scorers. Colgate’s Andrew Alekseyenko, a four-time League Rookie of the Week, is ninth, averaging 14.2 ppg. BU’s Chance Gladden (12.8 ppg) is 15th, American’s Madden Collins (12.6 ppg) is 16th and Bucknell’s Amon Dorries (12.5 ppg) is 17th. Army’s Jackson Furman (11.2 ppg) is 20th.

NAVY’S KEHOE, DRAPER CONTINUE TO PACE THE PL ON THE GLASS
Sr. C Aidan Kehoe and Sr. F Donovan Draper are first and fourth, respectively, in the Patriot League in rebounding this season, helping the Midshipmen pull down 36.9 rebounds per game. The Mids’ forwards continue to pace the League in rebounding. Kehoe leads the League and ranks 14th in NCAA DI with 10.2 rebounds per game. Draper is fourth, averaging 6.3 rpg and is 34th in League history with 662 career boards.
ALVEY, ODETOYINBO RANK WITH NCAA DI BLOCKS LEADERS
Lehigh So. F Hank Alvey leads the Patriot League and ranks 23rd in NCAA DI with 35 blocked shots. Alvey has nine blocks in four League games, including four in the Mountain Hawks’ 78-77 win at Colgate on Jan. 10. Colgate Fy. F Ayomi Odetoyinbo is second in the League and 32nd in NCAA DI with 33 blocks. The first-year forward has blocked at least one shot in the Raiders’ last 13 games, including seven blocked shots in four League games.
BENIGNI NAMED TO HENSON LIST
Navy Sr. G Austin Benigni was named to the 2025-26 Lou Henson Award Early Season Watch List when it was announced by CollegeInsider.com in December. The Lou Henson Award is presented annually to the top player in mid-major college basketball. Benigni was selected as the League’s Preseason Player of the Year.
PATRIOT LEAGUE PENFED CREDIT UNION MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

*McNair averaged 28.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists while shooting 71.4 percent (20-of-28) from the field and 75 percent (12-of-16) from 3-point range in wins against Lafayette (83-67) and Army West Point (100-91).
*The junior guard scored a career-high 29 points to go along with five rebounds and two assists in the win against the Leopards.
*He followed up with 28 points on 9-of-11 shooting, including 7-of-8 from long distance to help BU score 100 points against a League opponent for the first time since 1989. His seven made 3-pointers tied a League single-game high this season, matching his performance against Penn State.
PATRIOT LEAGUE PENFED CREDIT UNION MEN’S BASKETBALL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Pat Curtin, Bucknell, Fr., G, Ellicott City, Md./Glenelg Country School
*Curtin averaged 18.0 points on 54 percent (14-of-26) shooting to go along with 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals to help Bucknell go 1-1, including a win over Loyola Maryland.
*He scored 17 of his career-high 25 points in the second half to lead Bucknell to a 70-67 victory against the Greyhounds on Saturday.
*The freshman guard shot 10-of-17 from the field and grabbed five rebounds in the win. He scored 11 points and recorded two steals in Wednesday’s loss at Navy.
