BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Boston University, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross and Loyola Maryland each received at least one Patriot League men’s and women’s swimming and diving weekly awards when the League office announced the honors on Tuesday.
Loyola Maryland junior Joe Hayburn collected his third Patriot League Men’s Swimmer of the Week honor this season following three individual event wins in the Greyhounds’ victory over Bucknell.
Boston University freshman Danka Ndubuisi was named Patriot League Women’s Swimmer of the Week, presented by Credit Union 1, after winning the 200-yard backstroke and placing second in the 100-yard backstroke against MIT on Saturday.
For the second time this season, Boston University freshman Ethan Wong captured Patriot League Men’s Diver of the Week honors after winning the three-meter dive and finishing second on the one-meter board against MIT.
Holy Cross sophomore Brenna Short was honored as the Patriot League Women’s Diver of the Week, presented by Credit Union 1, for the second time this year after sweeping the diving events against Colgate.
Bucknell freshman Jason Kellerman collected Patriot League Men’s Rookie of the Week honors after winning the 200-yard butterfly against Loyola Maryland and the 200-yard individual medley against La Salle.
Colgate freshman Katie Miller was selected as the Patriot League Women’s Rookie of the Week, presented by Credit Union 1, after winning the 1,000-yard freestyle and 500m freestyle in the Raiders’ victory over Holy Cross.
Honorable mentions went to Boston University’s Alayna Kennedy and Tony Ponomarev, Bucknell’s Tori Castro, Jack Krug and Clara Renner, Colgate’s Audrey Collins and Nick Pompo and Loyola Maryland’s Annie Dockx.
The Patriot League men’s and women’s swimmers and divers of the week were selected in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.
Patriot League Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Joe Hayburn, Loyola Maryland, Jr., Bowie, Md./St. Mary’s
*Hayburn won three individual events and was on a winning relay in Loyola Maryland’s victory over Patriot League foe Bucknell.
*The junior took first in the 100-yard backstroke (47.04), 200-yard backstroke (1:44.64) and 100-yard butterfly (48.38) to win his third Men’s Swimmer of the Week award this season.
Patriot League Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Danka Ndubuisi, Boston University, Fr., Columbia, S.C./SCAIHS
*Ndubuisi won the 200-yard backstroke (1:58.44) against MIT with the third-fastest time in school history and finished as the runner-up in the 100-yard backstroke.
*She swam as the anchor on the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:41.47) and leadoff on the 200-yard freestyle relay that finished second.
*The Columbia, S.C. native was honored as the Rookie of the Week back on Nov. 11, 2025.
Patriot League Men’s Diver of the Week
Ethan Wong, Boston University, Fr., Fresh Meadows, N.Y./St. Francis Prep
*Wong collected his second Men’s Diver of the Week honor after winning the three-meter board and placing second in the one-meter dive against MIT.
*The freshman scored a NCAA Zone Cut of 347.63 on the three meter and totaled 303.45 on the one meter.
Patriot League Women’s Diver of the Week
Brenna Short, Holy Cross, So., Marshfield, Mass./Marshfield
*Short notched first-place finishes in both the one-meter (253.65) and three-meter (264.30) diving events during Holy Cross’ meet at Colgate.
*It marks the second time this season the sophomore was named Women’s Diver of the Week (Oct. 28, 2025).
Patriot League Men’s Rookie of the Week
Jason Kellerman, Bucknell, Fr., Parkville, Md./Archbishop Curley
*Kellerman recorded a win in both of Bucknell’s dual meets against La Salle and Loyola Maryland. The freshman won the 200-yard butterfly (1:47.26) versus the Greyhounds and the 200 individual medley (1:53.32) against the Explorers.
*The Parkville, Md. native totaled five top-three finishes and six top-five finishes across the two meets.
Patriot League Women’s Rookie of the Week
Katie Miller, Colgate, Fr., Mendota, Minn./Visitation
*Miller led Colgate’s distance group with victories in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:39.58) and 500-yard freestyle (5:09.46), helping push the Raiders past Holy Cross, 172.5-127.5.
*The Mendota, Minn. native is the second straight Raider to be named Women’s Rookie of the Week.

*Kennedy swept the diving events in Boston University’s dual meet win over MIT on Saturday. The freshman posted 296.18 on the three meter and a 308.40 on the one meter.
Tony Ponomarev, Boston University, Sr., Olympia, Wash./Olympia
*Ponomarev swept the backstroke events in Boston University’s win over MIT, posting a 49.09 in the 100-yard and a 1:46.55 in the 200-yard. He also swam leadoff on the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:28.81).
Tori Castro, Bucknell, Fr., Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central
*Castro won two events, recorded two third-place finishes and swam on three winning relay teams in Bucknell’s meets against La Salle and Loyola Maryland. The freshman was victorious in the 50-yard freestyle (23.61) and 100-yard butterfly (55.43).
Jack Krug, Bucknell, Sr., New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan
*Krug posted wins in the one-meter dive in Bucknell’s meets against Loyola Maryland and La Salle. The senior scored 290.55 points against the Greyhounds and upped his score to 296.40 versus the Explorers.
Clara Renner, Bucknell, So., Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley
*Renner won five individual events and added a second-place finish in Bucknell’s dual meet victories over Loyola Maryland (214-85) and La Salle (188-112).
*The sophomore captured the title in the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.80), 1,000-yard freestyle (10:22.86), 100-yard butterfly (57.02) and 200-yard butterfly (2:02.46, 2:05.94) twice.
Audrey Collins, Colgate, Sr., Wayne, Pa./Radnor
*Collins helped Colgate defeat Holy Cross in a dual meet on Saturday as the senior earned first-place finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.04) and 100-yard butterfly (56.63) as well as a runner-up in the 100-yard freestyle (53.72).

*Pompo captured first place in both diving events against Holy Cross on Saturday, posting 278.93 points on the one meter and a score of 291.90 on the three meter.

*Dockx won both diving events behind season-high scores in Loyola Maryland’s dual meet against Bucknell. The freshman scored 251.78 points on the three meter board and followed with 257.26 points on the one meter.

PATRIOT LEAGUE SWIMMING & DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2026 Patriot League Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Championships will be held in Annapolis, Md. at the United States Naval Academy’s Lejeune Hall beginning Saturday, Feb. 18 and concluding on Saturday, Feb. 21. All 10 Patriot League Schools will compete.
