Muscala and Minato to Join Patriot League Basketball Media Day with The Field of 68

The Patriot League legends will talk to The Field of 68 team during Monday’s media day

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Two Patriot League basketball legends will join the Patriot League Basketball Media Day with The Field of 68 when Bucknell’s Mike Muscala and Army West Point’s Kelsey Minato take part in the festivities on Monday, Oct. 5.
 
The Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Basketball Media Day will be available on The Field of 68’s YouTube page or by following @TheFieldOf68 on X.
 
Mike Muscala starred at Bucknell from 2009-2013, earning Patriot League Player of the Year (2011, 2013) and Patriot League Tournament MVP (2011, 2013) honors twice before being selected in the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft. Muscala enjoyed an 11-year NBA career, spending parts of five seasons with the Atlanta Hawks and parts of five seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder in addition to spending time in Boston, Detroit, Los Angeles with the Lakers, Philadelphia and Washington. He joined the Phoenix Suns as an assistant coach before the 2025-26 season. Muscala is sixth in Patriot League history in points (2,036), third in rebounding (1,093) and second in blocked shots (271).
 
Kelsey Minato is a four-time First Team All-Patriot League selection and three-time Patriot League Player of the Year. She led Army West Point to two League titles, claiming tournament MVP honors twice, and earned two NCAA Tournament berths during her storied career at West Point. Minato is the Patriot League’s career leader in points (2,556) and free-throw percentage (.890) and received an invitation to training camp with the WNBA’s San Antonio Stars before serving more than five years in the U.S. Army.
 
The men’s media day will stream live from 9 a.m. until 11:35 a.m., while the women’s media day will follow from 12:10 p.m. to 2:40 p.m. The Patriot League men’s basketball media day will be hosted by Jeff Goodman and Rob Dauster, the veteran national college basketball writers and founders of The Field of 68. Talia Goodman, who covers women’s basketball for On3 and Rivals, and Paige Messier, the Patriot League’s multimedia journalist, will lead the women’s media day coverage.
