Speed and Adair lead Greyhounds in home win over Holy Cross

BALTIMORE – Sophomore guard Braeden Speed and freshman forward Emmett Adair combined for 50 points on efficient 18-of-30 shooting to lead Loyola Maryland to an 83-73 victory over Holy Cross at Reitz Arena.
*Speed posted 26 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the floor while recording team-highs nine rebounds and seven assists.
*Adair made five second-half 3-pointers, scoring 15 of his 24 points in the second half. The freshman forward shot 9-of-15 from the floor and 6-of-10 from 3-point range.
*Junior guard Jordan Stiemke added 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting from long range as the Greyhounds improved to 7-7 in League play.
*Holy Cross junior guard Gabe Warren scored a career-high 28 points, hitting 9-of-16 from the field and 4-of-7 from 3-point range. He also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
*Freshman forward Aiden Disu contributed 22 points and six rebounds on 9-of-14 shooting, while sophomore guard Tyler Boston added 15 points, four rebounds and three assists.
