BOSTON – Sophomore guard Azmar Abdullah scored a career-high 26 points, shooting a perfect 8-of-8 from 3-point range to lead Boston University to an 85-58 victory over Colgate at Case Gym to split the season series.
*Four Terriers made two or more 3-pointers, including freshman forward Sam Hughes, who hit 5-of-7 from long range for 16 points to help BU tie a program record with 18 made 3-pointers on an efficient 60% (18-of-30) shooting.
*Junior guard Michael McNair posted his second double-double of the season with 15 points and a team-high 10 rebounds, helping BU hold a 38-29 advantage on the glass.
*Sophomore forward Ben Defty added 10 points and five assists in the Terriers fifth straight win.
*Colgate sophomore guard Ben Tweedy led three Raiders in double figures with 13 points, connecting on 4-of-7 from the field and 3-of-4 from 3-point range.
*Senior guard Kyle Carlesimo added 12 points, while junior guard Jalen Cox chipped in 10 points and five rebounds.
