BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Navy senior center Aidan Kehoe claimed Patriot League Men’s Basketball PenFed Credit Union Player of the Week honors when the League office announced weekly honors Monday. Bucknell freshman center Amon Dörries earned his third straight Patriot League Rookie of the Week.
Kehoe was voted Patriot League Men’s Basketball PenFed Credit Union Player of the Week for the second time this season, averaging a double-double with 19 points and 12.5 rebounds on 83.3% (15-of-18) shooting from the field in Navy’s wins against Lafayette (65-60) and American (82-73).
Dörries earned his third straight Patriot League Men’s Basketball PenFed Credit Union Rookie of the Week award and fourth of the season after averaging 23.0 points per game in the Bison’s 1-1 week. The freshman center scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a 60-59 win over American on Wednesday.
Boston University sophomore forward Ben Defty, Bucknell senior guard/forward Achile Spadone, Colgate first-year forward Andrew Alekseyenko, Holy Cross sophomore guard Tyler Boston and Lehigh sophomore forward/center Hank Alvey were recognized as honorable mentions for their performances last week.
The Patriot League men’s basketball players of the week are selected in a vote by League media members and each school’s men’s basketball athletics communications contacts, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

*The freshman center scored 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting and pulled down seven rebounds in a win over the Eagles on Wednesday.
*He finished with 25 points and six rebounds in the Bison’s loss against Colgate on Saturday and is now eighth in the League in scoring, averaging 15.2 points per game.

*Defty averaged 17.5 points and 9.0 rebounds on 85.7% (12-of-14) shooting from the floor in Boston University’s wins over Holy Cross (72-64) and Loyola Maryland (78-69) last week. The sophomore forward posted 17 points and nine boards against the Crusaders before leading the Terriers with 18 points and nine boards against the Greyhounds.
Achile Spadone, Bucknell, Sr., G/F, Geneva, Switzerland/St. Thomas More
*Spadone highlighted his week by hitting a 37-foot 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift Bucknell to a 60-59 victory at American on Wednesday. He grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds against the Eagles. On Saturday, Spadone finished with 16 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals in a loss against Colgate.

*Alekseyenko averaged 15.0 points and 8.5 rebounds in Colgate’s wins against Army West Point (69-55) and Bucknell (78-59). He posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, including five on the offensive glass, against the Black Knights. He finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists against the Bison.
Tyler Boston, Holy Cross, So., G, Severn, Md./Bullis
*Boston averaged 15.0 points on 57.9% (11-of-19) shooting from the field, including 71.4% (5-of-7) from 3-point range to help Holy Cross split a pair of games last week. He also added 4.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game. He finished with 15 points and five assists in a 76-67 win over Lehigh on Saturday.

*Alvey averaged 27.5 points on 88.9% (24-of-27) shooting from the floor to go along with 7.0 rebounds in losses against Loyola Maryland and Holy Cross. The sophomore center shot 11-of-12 from the floor to score 27 points to go along with eight rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals at Loyola Maryland on Wednesday. He scored a career-high 28 points on 13-of-15 shooting and grabbed six boards against the Crusaders on Saturday.
