BETHLEHEM, Pa. – No. 5 Navy captured three of the five Patriot League women’s lacrosse weekly awards when the League announced honors on Monday. Holy Cross and Bucknell each claimed one accolade.
Navy sophomore Alyssa Chung claimed Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Attacker of the Week honors. She posted four points on two goals and two assists in the Mids’ 14-11 upset victory over No. 7 Florida. Mids’ senior Ava Yovino received her second Patriot League Midfielder of the Week this season, after recording three goals, three assists, seven draw controls, three caused turnovers and one ground ball against the Gators. Navy junior Felicia Giglio earned her third straight Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week after making a season-high eight saves in the upset win against Florida.
Holy Cross senior Racheli Levy-Smith collected her third straight Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, and the fifth of her career, posting 12 draw controls, one ground ball and one caused turnover in a 13-11 win over Bryant.
Bucknell freshman attack Caleigh Cummiskey claimed her second Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Rookie of the Week award. She recorded seven points on three goals and four assists in the Bison’s 21-7 win over Rider.
American senior midfielder Reagan Murdoch, Bucknell senior attack Caroline Sheridan, Holy Cross senior goalkeeper Mackenzie Creagh and senior attack Tory Rider, Lafayette senior goalkeeper Kennedy Carr and sophomore midfielder Isabelle Pohmer, Lehigh senior attack Kacie Wines, Loyola Maryland senior midfielder Elisa Faklaris and sophomore attack Morgan Quade and Navy junior defender Jalin Jenkins received honorable mentions for their performances last week.
The Patriot League women’s lacrosse players of the week are selected in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.

Alyssa Chung, Navy, So., Attack, Severna Park, Md./Severna Park
*Chung posted four points on two goals and two assists to lead Navy to a 14-11 upset victory over No. 7 Florida, tied for the second-highest-ranked opponent the Mids have defeated in program history.
*She scored the first goal of the game, then spurred a 3-0 run in the second quarter with a goal to help the Mids take a one-goal lead. She added two assists during another 3-0 run to help seal the win.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE MIDFIELDER OF THE WEEK
Ava Yovino, Navy, Sr., Midfielder, Parkland, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas
*Yovino tallied six points on three goals and three assists to go along with seven draw controls, three caused turnovers and one ground ball in Navy’s 14-11 upset victory over No. 7 Florida.
*She scored all three of her goals in the first half to help the Mids take a second-quarter lead that they would never relinquish. She had two of her three assists in the third quarter, including the assist on what proved to be the game-winning goal.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Racheli Levy-Smith, Holy Cross, Sr., Defender, Margate, N.J./Ocean City
*Levy-Smith finished with 12 draw controls, one ground ball and one caused turnover in Holy Cross’ 13-11 win over Bryant.
*The senior defender led a defensive unit that held the Bulldogs to one goal in the final 26 minutes of play.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Felicia Giglio, Navy, Jr., Goalkeeper, Bayport, N.Y./Bayport Blue-Point
*Giglio finished with a season-high eight saves to help Navy upset No. 7 Florida, 14-11, matching the second-highest ranked opponent the Mids have defeated in program history.
*The junior goalkeeper helped the Navy defense hold the nation’s eighth-ranked scoring offense more than five goals under its season average to improve to 5-0 this season.
PATRIOT LEAGUE WOMEN’S LACROSSE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Caleigh Cummiskey, Bucknell, Fr., Attack, Darien, Conn./Darien
*Cummiskey posted seven points on three goals and four assists to lead Bucknell to a 21-7 victory over Rider on Wednesday. She also added two ground balls and one caused turnover.
*The freshman attacker is tied for the Patriot League lead with 20 goals, helping the Bison lead the League in scoring offense (16.40 gpg).

Reagan Murdoch, American, Sr., Midfielder, Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon
Murdoch led the Eagles with six goals in the Eagles’ 16-12 loss against George Mason. She also added one ground ball and one caused turnover. Her sixth goal of the day was the 100th goal of her career.
Caroline Sheridan, Bucknell, Sr., Attack, Bernardsville, N.J./Oak Knoll
*Sheridan recorded nine points on four goals and five assists to lead Bucknell to a 21-7 victory over Rider. She also picked up two ground balls and caused one turnover.
Mackenzie Creagh, Holy Cross, Sr., Goalkeeper, Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side
*Creagh made a season-high 10 saves to lead Holy Cross to a 13-11 victory over Bryant. The senior goalkeeper also picked up one ground ball.
Tory Rider, Holy Cross, Sr., Attack, Essex, Conn./Phillips Academy Andover (Mass.)
*Rider matched her career-high with five points on two goals and three assists in Holy Cross’ 13-11 win over Bryant. All three of her assists came in the fourth quarter to help the Crusaders outscore the Bulldogs, 5-1, in the final frame.
Kennedy Carr, Lafayette, Sr., Goalkeeper, Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe
*Carr posted a .533 save percentage with 16 stops last week while playing all 60 minutes in the Leopards’ wins against La Salle (16-7) and Monmouth (10-7).

*Pohmer scored a career-high five goals in Lafayette’s 10-7 victory at Monmouth on Sunday. She added three draw controls to help the Leopards improve to 4-1. She also scored a goal in Lafayette’s 16-7 win against La Salle on Wednesday.

*Wines finished with seven points on three goals and four assists in the Mountain Hawks’ 16-6 win over La Salle. The senior attacker shot 100%, scoring on all three of her attempts.

*Faklaris scored a team-high four goals in the Greyhounds’ loss to No. 12 Syracuse. She added one goal, one draw control, one ground ball and one caused turnover in a 10-8 win over No. 17 Penn.

*Murphy totaled 23 draw controls in Loyola Maryland’s games against No. 12 Syracuse and No. 17 Penn. She finished with 11 draw controls to help the Greyhounds to a 10-8 win over the Quakers.

Jalin Jenkins, Navy, Jr., Defender, Chevy Chase, Md./Bullis School
*Jenkins was instrumental in a Navy defensive effort that held a Florida offense, which was averaging 16.25 goals per game, to 11 goals in a 14-11 upset victory over the seventh-ranked Gators. She was part of a defensive effort that held Florida’s Clark Hamilton, who ranked fifth in the nation in goals per game, scoreless.
