Ava Yovino and Navy Featured by Inside Lacrosse
There are so many ways, beyond goals and assists, you can contribute to a team. Each way is necessary, though not as apparent or obvious. Navy’s Ava Yovino does them all. Her stat line in Navy’s statement-making win over Florida: 3G, 3A on 5 shots. 3CT, 7DC and 1GB. She’s also a senior captain, a leader among leaders, who bluntly summed up the focused confidence of the Midshipmen — the marquee story of early women’s lacrosse as they climbed into the Top 5 nationally.
