Nine Patriot League women’s lacrosse games this weekend, including two important League matchups

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Nine of the Patriot League’s 10 teams are in action this weekend, with six games available on ESPN+. On Saturday, Boston University hosts Army West Point (11:30 a.m.) and Lafayette welcomes Holy Cross (2 p.m.).

Navy’s Yovino Named IWLCA National Offensive Player of the Week for the Second Time
Navy’s Ava Yovino (Sr. M) was named the Division I National Offensive Player of the Week by the International Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for the second time this season, after recording three goals, three assists, seven draw controls, three caused turnovers and one ground ball in the Mids’ 14-11 upset win over No.  7 Florida. The senior midfielder previously earned national offensive player of the week honors after posting six points on two goals and four assists to go with seven draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers in the Mids’ upset victory over then-No. 10 Virginia.

Two Patriot League Student-Athletes Added to Tewaaraton 2026 Watch List
Navy senior midfielder Ava Yovino and Loyola Maryland freshman draw specialist Mae Murphy have been added to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List, which was announced on March 5. Four Patriot League women’s lacrosse student-athletes were named to the initial 2026 Tewaaraton Award Watch List before the start of the season, including Army West Point’s Brigid Duffy (Sr. M) and Allison Reilly (Sr. A) and Navy’s Alyssa Chung (So. A) and Mikayla Williams (Jr. M)

This Week in Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse (Monday, March 2 – Wednesday, March 4)
*Monday, March 2: (At Dartmouth 16, Holy Cross 8– BOX SCORE) Holy Cross’ Hadley Cepiel and Tess Prunier each recorded hat tricks, but the Crusaders fell to Dartmouth, 16-8.   
*Wednesday, March 4: (At No. 17 Penn State 20, Colgate 8– BOX SCORE) Colgate’s Aubrey McMahon recorded four points on three goals and one assist, but the Raiders fell to Penn State, 20-8.  
*(At Lehigh 20, Manhattan 3 – BOX SCORE) Four Mountain Hawks totaled four points, as Molly Snow scored a team-high three goals and had one assist to help Lehigh defeat Manhattan, 20-3. Gracie Shoup finished with two goals and two assists, while Kacie Wines and Cameron McGlynn each dished out four assists.
*(At Army West Point 15, Fairfield 8 – BOX SCORE) Army West Point’s Brigid Duffy and Allison Reilly each finished with seven points, was Duffy totaled four goals and three assists while Reilly added three goals and four assists in the Black Knights’ 15-8 win over Fairfield. Sarah Wood also recorded a hat trick for the Black Knights.
*(Loyola Maryland 9, at Georgetown – BOX SCORE) Loyola Maryland’s Elisa Faklaris scored the game-winning goal with less than five minutes remaining in regulation to lead the Greyhounds to a 9-8 win at Georgetown. Mim Suares-Jury posted a team-high three goals to go with one assist, while Morgan Quade added four assists.

Inside Lacrosse KANE Women’s DI Media Poll
Reigning Patriot League Champion Navy climbed five spots to No. 5 after its 14-11 upset victory over No. 7 Florida in this week’s Inside Lacrosse KANE Women’s DI Media Poll. The Mids improved to 5-0 with the win over the Gators to earn the highest in-season ranking in program history. Navy was No. 4 in the 2017 season-ending ILWomen poll. Loyola Maryland checked in at No. 16 after a 10-8 victory over Penn on Saturday. The Greyhounds have since defeated No. 18 Georgetown, 9-8. Army West Point slid to No. 23 after falling to No. 12 Colorado, 13-6, on Saturday.  
 
Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Coaches Poll
The Mids were also selected No. 5 in the IWLCA Top 25 Coaches Poll. Loyola Maryland is No. 16, with Army West Point moving to No. 23.  
 
USA Lacrosse DI Women’s Top 20 Poll
Navy was selected No. 5 in the USA Lacrosse DI Women’s Top 20, earning the fifth spot in all three polls this week. Loyola Maryland checks in at No. 20.

Army West Point’s Reilly and Bucknell’s Krestinski Rank Among NCAA DI Points Leaders
Army West Point’s Allison Reilly is second in NCAA DI with 7.00 points per game, while Bucknell’s Megan Krestinski is fifth (6.40).  Reilly posted a Patriot League season-high 12-point performance in the Black Knights’ win over Marist on Feb. 10 and followed it up with a 10-point game against Florida State. Krestinski’s 10-point performance against UMBC on Feb. 13 is tied for the second-highest single-game total in the League this season. Bucknell freshman Caleigh Cummiskey is 10th in NCAA DI, averaging 5.6 points per game.
 
Holy Cross’ Levy-Smith Among National Leaders in Caused Turnovers
Holy Cross senior defender Racheli Levy-Smith, a three-time Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week, is seventh in NCAA DI, averaging 3.0 draw controls per game. Levy-Smith has posted 17 caused turnovers in six games this season, giving her 62 during her career to rank 31st among NCAA DI active leaders.
 
Bucknell’s Duo Leading the League and Ranking with NCAA Leaders in Goals
Bucknell’s Cummiskey and Krestinski are tied for first, with Navy’s Alyssa Chung third in the Patriot League, and all among the NCAA DI top 20 in goals per game. Cummiskey and Krestinski are tied for eighth in the nation, averaging 4.0 goals per game. Chung is 20th, averaging 3.6 goals per game.
 
Loyola Maryland’s Murphy Among the Nation’s Draw Control Leaders
Loyola Maryland freshman Mae Murphy has made an immediate impact during her first collegiate campaign. In five games, the two-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week ranks fifth in NCAA DI with 12.1 draw controls per game. Her 88 draws through five games have her on pace to join impressive former Patriot League rookies in topping 100 draw controls, joining Navy’s Reagan Roelofs, who posted 146 in 2019 and Loren Generi, who finished with 118 in 2012. 
 
Navy Head Coach Cindy Timchal Closing in on 600 Career Wins
Navy head coach Cindy Timchal is two wins away from becoming the second NCAA women’s lacrosse coach, and the first at the Division I level, to reach 600 victories. Timchal would join Sharon Pfluger, who has 605 victories and counting in her 39th season coaching women’s lacrosse at DIII TCNJ. The two-time National Coach of the Year and eight-time NCAA Champion became the first women’s lacrosse coach at Navy, helping elevate its club team to the DI level for the 2008 season. She has won 262 games and counting in Annapolis, guiding the Mids to seven Patriot League titles and seven NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Final Four appearance in 2017 and a quarterfinals trip in 2018. Timchal and the Mids are 5-0 and ranked No. 5 in all three NCAA DI polls.

Reilly’s Eight-Assist Performance Places Her Among NCAA DI Active Leaders
Army West Point’s Allison Reilly set a Black Knights’ single-game program record with eight assists in a 13-7 win against Florida State. Reilly leads NCAA DI active leaders and ranks 10th in Patriot League history with 124 career assists. Reilly is second in NCAA DI, averaging 4.2 assists per game this season.

Several active Patriot League women’s lacrosse student-athletes rank among the Patriot League’s career leaders entering the 2026 season.
200 POINTS CLUB
Army’s Duffy is 13th in League history and second among all active NCAA Division I players with 289 points, while Reilly is 15th in the League and third among active players. She posted a 10-point performance in a 13-7 win against Florida State on Feb. 21.

100 GOALS CLUB
Duffy is one goal shy of becoming the 14th player in Patriot League history to score 200 goals, while currently tied for 14th in League history with 199 career goals. Her teammate Reilly is 30th in League history and eighth among active goal scorers. Colgate’s Caroline Panzirer eclipsed 100 career goals with a four-goal performance in the Raiders’ 16-10 win over Niagara on Feb. 14. American’s Reagan Murdoch reached 100 career goals with a six-goal performance in a loss to George Mason on Feb. 27.

Lafayette’s Katie Marrs eclipsed 200 career draw controls to become the third active Patriot League player to reach the milestone. Marrs is 22nd in Patriot League history and 22nd among NCAA DI active leaders. Holy Cross’ Racheli Levy-Smith became the 10th player in Patriot League history to eclipse 300 career draw controls, with Army’s Duffy following to become the 11th. Levy-Smith and Duffy are eighth and ninth among NCAA DI active leaders, respectively.

Patriot Women’s Lacrosse on CBS Sports Network
Four Patriot League women’s lacrosse games will be featured on CBS Sports Network in 2026. Coverage continues with the regular-season rematch of the 2025 Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Championship Game featuring Navy at Loyola Maryland, scheduled for Saturday, March 28 (11 a.m.). The Mids will host rival Army West Point on Saturday, April 11, at noon. The 2026 Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Championship Game will be aired on Saturday, May 2, with live coverage beginning at 3:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
