BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Loyola Maryland sophomore attacker Morgan Quade was voted Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year when the League office announced academic honors on Wednesday. She was among the 15 student-athletes named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team.
Quade (finance, 3.91 GPA) earned Academic All-Patriot League honors for the first time after receiving First-Team All-Patriot League honors earlier this week. She is the sixth different Greyhound to collect the League’s highest academic honor for women’s lacrosse.
Army West Point’s Meghan Pedrani (civil engineering, 3.897 GPA) became the 10th Patriot League women’s lacrosse student-athlete to earn Academic All-League honors three times, highlighting a total of four multi-year honorees. Boston University’s Natalie Aiosa (psychology, 3.97 GPA), Bucknell’s Megan Krestinski (finance, 3.76 GPA) and Lehigh’s Molly Snow (finance, 3.88 GPA) were all selected to last season’s academic squad.
To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and be a starter or key player in their sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.
These honors recognize student-athletes who excel in their sport and the classroom. The awards are voted on by Patriot League women’s lacrosse sports information directors, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.
2026 Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year
Morgan Quade, Loyola Maryland, So., Attack, Centreville, Md./Saints Peter and Paul
*Quade is a sophomore finance major with a 3.91 cumulative grade-point average and three-time Dean’s list selection at Loyola Maryland.
*She earned First Team All-Patriot League honors after posting 65 points on 27 goals and 38 assists to lead the Greyhounds to the No. 3 seed in the Patriot League Championship.
*The Centreville, Md. is a member of the
Dream on 3 Club, which helps children with life-altering conditions to play their favorite sport.
*In League play, Quade finished fourth in the League in assists (21) and sixth in points (37).
Ten All-Patriot League Selections Receive Academic Recognition
Ten of the 15 Academic All-Patriot League selections earned a spot on one of the two All-Patriot League Teams, including five first-team honorees. Army West Point’s Brigid Duffy (biology, 3.25 GPA) makes the academic squad after being selected as the Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Midfielder of the Year. Quade, Boston University’s Tessa Geddes (hospitality and communications, 3.56 GPA), Bucknell’s Krestinski and Holy Cross’ Kate Avitabile (psychology and studio art, 3.81 GPA) all made the first team.
American’s Kellie Linehan (computer science, 3.94 GPA) and Reagan Murdoch (neuroscience, 3.73 GPA), Army’s Pedrani, Lehigh’s Snow and Navy’s Maggie DeFabio (operations research, 3.84 GPA) were second-team All-League selections.
Eleven Student-Athletes Make Academic All-League Team for the First Time
Eleven of the 15 Academic All-Patriot League student-athletes received the honor for the first time, highlighted by Loyola Maryland’s Quade and Army West Point’s Duffy. American’s Linehan and Murdoch, Boston University’s Geddes, Colgate’s Gracie DeSimone (political science and economics, 4.02 GPA), Holy Cross’ Avitabile, Lafayette’s Isabelle Pohmer (liberal arts, 3.81 GPA), Loyola Maryland’s Ava Kane (communication and media, 3.90 GPA) and Navy’s DeFabio and Jalin Jenkins (honors physics, 3.93 GPA) are all first-time academic honorees.
