BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Navy senior Chip Deegan and Boston University senior Annika Manjunath were named Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Golfers of the Week, respectively, when the League office announced honors Wednesday.
Deegan earned his third Patriot League Men’s Golfer of the Week award of the season after tying for second place at the Wildcat Spring Invitational by carding a 4-over-par 217 (72-75-70) at the par-71 Galloway National Golf Club in Galloway Township, N.J.
Manjunath claimed Patriot League Women’s Golfer of the Week for the first time this season after shooting a 9-over-par 225 (80-74-71) to finish tied for 17th out of 89 golfers at the ECU Ironwood Invitational at the par-72 Ironwood Golf and Country Club in Greenville, N.C.
Lafayette freshman Viktor Kofod-Olsen and Navy junior Emma Tang received honorable mentions for their performance last week.
Patriot League Men’s Golfers of the Week
Chip Deegan, Navy, Sr., Newport Beach, Calif./Servite
*Deegan tied for second by shooting a 4-over-par 217 (72-75-70) at the Wildcat Spring Invitational at the par-71 Galloway National Golf Club in Galloway Township, N.J.
*The senior birdied two of his final four holes to help move up two spots with a 1-under-par 70 in the final round, helping him record his four top-five finishes this season

*Manjunath shot a 9-over-par 225 (80-74-71) to finish tied for 17th out of 89 competitors at the ECU Ironwood Invitational at the par-72 Ironwood Golf and Country Club in Greenville, N.C.
*She shot a 1-under-par 71 in the final round of the 54-hole tournament to move up the leaderboard 16 spots.
