BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Army West Point collected all five Patriot League Men’s Soccer weekly awards when the League office announced the honors on Monday.
Army West Point senior forward Jubril Bamgbala was named Patriot League Men’s Soccer Forward of the Week after totaling three points on one goal and one assist in the Black Knights’ 4-2 victory over Columbia.
Army West Point junior midfielder Ronald Zhai earned Patriot League Men’s Soccer Midfielder of the Week honors after recording one goal and one assist in their victory over Columbia.
Army West Point senior defender Kelly Cooper received Patriot League Men’s Soccer Defender of the Week honors after playing all 180 minutes during an unbeaten week that included a scoreless draw at No. 12 Akron and a 4-2 win over Columbia.
Army West Point sophomore goalkeeper Collin Gilbert was named Patriot League Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week after making 11 saves with an .846 save percentage across two matches.
Army West Point freshman defender Gunnar Guest rounded out the weekly awards by earning Patriot League Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week honors, playing all 180 minutes in the Black Knights’ unbeaten week.
Holy Cross sophomore forward Archie Hatcher, Holy Cross senior midfielder Adric Rosato and Lehigh senior midfielder Trey Sheeler received honorable mentions.
The Patriot League men’s soccer players of the week are selected in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.
