Holy Cross Wide Receivers Thrive in NFL Week One
A pair of Holy Cross alums, Jalen Coker (Carolina Panthers) and Kalif Raymond (Chicago Bears), starred for their respective squads in the highest-scoring game of the NFL’s first week. Coker led the Panthers with eight receptions for a game and career-high 138 yards and two touchdowns. Raymond posted team-highs of eight receptions and 84 yards to help the Bears to a 59-37 victory.
Coker is tied for first in the NFL with two touchdown receptions and fourth with 138 receiving yards after Week One. The third-year pro and three-time All-Patriot League selection recorded his second straight 100-yard receiving game after finishing with nine catches for 134 yards and a score in the Panthers’ NFC Wild Card playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams last season. Raymond, a two-time All-Patriot League performer, is in his 10th season in the NFL and first with the Chicago Bears matched his career-high with eight receptions.
