BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point collected four of the five Patriot League women’s soccer weekly awards when the League office announced the honors on Monday. Bucknell earned the one remaining honor.
The Patriot League women’s soccer players of the week are selected in a vote by League head coaches, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.
Patriot League Women’s Soccer Forward & Rookie of the Week
Kamryn McWhinney, Army West Point, Fr., Forward, Macungie, Pa./Emmaus
*McWhinney provided the offensive spark in Army West Point’s 3-0 win over American on Saturday as she scored a second-half brace.
*The freshman extended the Black Knights’ lead to 2-0 in the 65th minute before finding the back of the net again in the 71st minute.
*The Macungie, Pa. native is tied for the Patriot League lead in goals (5) and points (10).
Patriot League Women’s Soccer Midfielder of the Week
Louisa Thomsen, Bucknell, Jr., Midfielder, Waterbury Center, Vt./Loomis Chaffee (Conn.)
*Thomsen totaled three points on a goal and an assist in Bucknell’s 3-1 win over Lehigh on Saturday.
*The junior scored the opening goal in the 29th minute to give the Bison a 1-0 lead and assisted on Dani Howard's insurance goal that made it 3-0.
Patriot League Women’s Soccer Defender of the Week
Daisy West, Army West Point, Jr., Defender, Fort Montgomery, N.Y./James I. O’Neill
*West anchored a stout Army West Point back line in the Black Knights' 3-0 shutout of American on Saturday, helping hold the Eagles to just eight shots and two shots on goal.
*The junior logged a full 90 minutes for the eighth straight match.
Patriot League Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week
Karalyn Dail, Army West Point, Jr., Goalkeeper, Centennial, Colo./Arapahoe
*Dail turned away two shots and recorded her third clean sheet of the season in Army West Point’s 3-0 win over American.
*The junior is tied for the Patriot League lead in shutouts (3) and ranks fifth in saves per game (4.70).

Grace Pohlidal, Army West Point, Jr., Midfielder, Edina, Minn./Edina
*Pohlidal, the reigning Midfielder of the Week, set the tone in Army West Point’s 3-0 win over American, scoring the opening goal in the 19th minute.
*It marked the first goal of the season for the junior and the sixth of her career.
Georgia Prouty, Boston University, Midfielder, So., Danvers, Mass./Danvers
*Prouty scored the game-winning goal with 33 seconds remaining in regulation to lift Boston University to a 2-1 victory over Navy in the Patriot League season opener.
*The sophomore collected a rebound after an initial shot hit the crossbar and buried her second goal of the season.
Kat Slott, Boston University, Sr., Forward, Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood
*Slott delivered the equalizer in the 73rd minute as Boston University went on to defeat Navy, 2-1, on Saturday in the Patriot League opener.
*The senior is tied for the Patriot League lead in goals (5) and points (10).

*Howard scored Bucknell’s final goal in a 3-1 vicotry over Lehigh on Sunday as the sophomore found the back of the net in the 71st minute.
Ingrid Murphy, Bucknell, Fr., Midfielder, Harrison, N.Y./Harrison
*Murphy recorded three points on a goal and an assist in 21 minutes of action during Bucknell’s 3-1 win over Lehigh on Saturday.
*The freshman assisted on Louisa Thomsen’s opening goal in the 29th minute before finding the back of the net in the 33rd minute.
*The Harrison, N.Y. native is tied for the Patriot League lead in points (10) and ranks third in goals (4).

*Beckstein scored a game-tying penalty kick in the 76th minute of Holy Cross’ 2-1 loss to Loyola Maryland on Sunday.
Catherine Apker, Lafayette, Sr., Goalkeeper, Homer, N.Y./Homer
*Apker recorded eight saves to help Lafayette pick up a 2-1 road-win at Colgate on Saturday.
*The senior is second in the Patriot League in goals-against average (1.11), save percentage (.833) and saves per game (5.56).
Nadia Zaffanella, Lafayette, Sr., Midfielder, Ellington, Conn./Ellington
*Zaffanella scored the game-winning goal in the 76th minute of Lafayette’s 2-1 win at Colgate on Saturday.
*The senior is tied for fourth in the Patriot League in goals (3) and tied for sixth in points (7).
Francesca Curatolo, Loyola Maryland, Fr., Defender, New Hyde Park, N.Y./New Hyde Park Memorial
*Curatolo scored her first career goal in the fifth minute to help Loyola Maryland defeat Holy Cross, 2-1, on the road Sunday.
*The freshman played a full 90 minutes for the fourth time this season.
Hannah Goetzer, Loyola Maryland, Sr., Goalkeeper, Backnang, Germany/ Gymnasium in der Taus
*Goezter recorded six saves in Loyola Maryland’s 2-1 win at Holy Cross on Sunday, with the Crusaders lone goal coming on a penalty kick.
*The senior continues to lead the Patriot League in goals-against average (0.89), save percentage (.843) and shutouts (3), while ranking fourth in saves per game (4.78).
Savannah Manset, Loyola Maryland, So. Forward, Wilmington, N.C./Eugene Ashley
*Manset scored the game-winning goal in the 77th minute of Loyola Maryland’s 2-1 win at Holy Cross on Sunday.
*The sophomore put Loyola Maryland back ahead after the Crusaders scored the equalizer in the 76th minute.
