BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Colgate collected two of the four Patriot League football weekly honors when the League office announced accolades on Monday. Holy Cross and Lehigh each received one weekly award.
 
The Patriot League football players of the week are selected in a vote by League media members and each school’s football athletics communications staff, who are not eligible to vote for their student-athletes.
 
Patriot League Football Offensive Player of the Week
David Lynch, Holy Cross, Jr., QB, East Greenwich, R.I./Bishop Hendricken
*Lynch completed 22-of-37 passes for 230 yards and four touchdowns passes in Holy Cross’ 38-30 win over Lafayette.
*The junior signal-caller’s four touchdown passes were a career high, leading the Crusaders to their highest offensive output of the season.
*He leads the Patriot League in passing yards (1,092) and is tied for the League lead in touchdown passes (8).

Patriot League Football Defensive Player of the Week
Trooper Price, Colgate, Sr., LB, Ponte Vedra, Fla./Ponte Vedra
*Price recorded nine tackles, 2.5 TFLs and 1.5 sacks in No. 23 Colgate’s 28-21 win over No. 22 Villanova.
*The senior linebacker led a Raiders’ defense that held the Wildcats to just 260 total yards and seven points after halftime.
*The two-time Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week is fifth in the League in total tackles (45) and eighth in TFLs (5.0).

Patriot League Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Connor Poole, Lehigh, Jr., K/P, Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport
*Poole connected on 2-of-3 field goal attempts and both of his PATs to finish with eight points in Lehigh’s 20-7 win over Penn
*He averaged 44.3 yards per punt on six attempts, including a long of 54 yards to earn his second straight Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week.
*His 48-yard field goal in the first quarter tied the third-longest in Lehigh program history.
 
Patriot League Football Rookie of the Week
Caleb Naumann, Colgate, Fy., RB, Cincinnati, Ohio/Archbishop McNicholas
*Naumann rushed for 66 yards and his first collegiate touchdown on 25 carries in Colgate’s 28-21 victory over No. 22 Villanova.
*The first-year running back rushed for a six-yard touchdown in the first quarter to put the Raiders on the board.
*He carried the ball eight times on Colgate’s final drive in the fourth quarter to take nearly seven minutes off the clock.
 
Honorable Mentions
Jake Stearney, Colgate, Sr., QB, Chicago, Ill./Loyola Academy
*Stearney completed 15-of-21 passes for 158 yards and three touchdown passes to lead No. 23 Colgate to a 28-21 victory over No. 22 Villanova. The senior quarterback threw a pair of second-half touchdown passes to break a 14-14 tie in the Raiders’ win. He also rushed for 56 yards on 11 carries for a team-best 5.1 yards per carry against the Wildcats’ defense.

Hassan Mahasin, Georgetown, Sr., WR/RS, Daly City, Calif./Junipero Serra
*Mahasin returned a punt 71 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter of the Hoyas’ 20-17 overtime loss against Columbia. The senior return specialist’s punt return for a touchdown gave GU a 14-10 lead early in the third quarter for the Hoyas’ first lead of the game.
 
Adam Due, Holy Cross, Sr., LB, Prosper, Texas/Prosper
*Due posted five tackles, 2.0 TFLs, one sack, one forced fumble and his second interception in the last two weeks to lead Holy Cross to a 38-30 win over Lafayette. The  senior linebacker’s forced fumble in the first quarter gave the Crusaders the ball at the Leopards’ 42-yard line, while his interception in the fourth quarter thwarted a Lafayette drive.
 
Lincoln Fisher, Holy Cross, So., WR, Upper Marlboro, Md./Gonzaga (D.C.)
*Fisher blocked a punt in the first quarter that led to a 19-yard touchdown pass on the next play from scrimmage. He also finished with seven receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown.
 
Mason Kuehner, Lafayette, Jr., WR, Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth
*Kuehner finished with 10 catches for career-highs of 152 yards and three touchdowns in Lafayette’s Patriot League opener against Holy Cross. His three-touchdown performance is the first for a Leopards’ receiver since 2016.
 
Lucas Manderbach, Lehigh, So., DL, Aurora, Ohio/Aurora
*Manderbach recorded two of Lehigh’s four sacks in a 20-7 victory over Penn. He helped the Mountain Hawks’ defense limit the Quakers to 182 yards of total offense, including just 105 yards through three quarters.
 
Daniel Sellers, Richmond, Jr., DE, Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny
*Sellers finished with nine tackles, 4.0 TFLs and three sacks to lead Richmond to a 13-9 win over Furman. The junior defensive end led a Spiders’ defense that limited Furman to 215 total yards and three field goals. His 4.0 TFLs and three sacks both match Patriot League single-game highs.
