Best-selling author John Feinstein will serve as the Lafayette Sports Network color analyst for Saturday's Lafayette vs. Holy Cross men's basketball game, joining RCN-4 sports director Gary Laubach, who handles play-by-play duties for the Leopards' television broadcasts.
Feinstein, who is joining the Lafayette Sports Network as a guest analyst for the third straight season, is the author of The Last Amateurs, a best-selling book chronicling the 1999-2000 Patriot League men's basketball season and the Leopards' championship run, as well as A Season on the Brink, A Good Walk Spoiled and many others.
Feinstein will also serve as the analyst for the Lafayette Sports Network's coverage of the Lafayette vs. Army men's basketball game on Wednesday, Feb. 12. In fact, Feinstein begins his first season as the color analyst for the Patriot League TV package on Friday, Jan. 24 when the Leopards travel to Lehigh for a 9 p.m. tip-off.
The 2002-03 Lafayette men's and women's basketball seasons will see a Patriot League-best 21 contests hit the television airwaves via the Lafayette Sports Network and the Patriot League television package. In addition, every men's game and 11 women's games are being broadcast live on WEST-AM 1400 for the 67th consecutive season.
Nationally recognized as a leader in collegiate sports broadcasting on regional television and radio, Lafayette has seen its web site become one of the most popular mediums for Leopard fans. The sports portal of www.lafayette.edu received more than 2.5 million page views in 2002 as more than 100 audio or video webcasts were made available. The Fall of 2002 alone saw more than one million page views.

The Lafayette Sports Network, the most expansive television package in the Patriot League six years running, can be seen by more than 9.1 million viewers in eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey.
