Saturday's Army-Navy men's lacrosse game at West Point will be televised live by CSTV: College Sports Television (www.collegesports.com) with face-off slated for 12:05 p.m.
Additionally, in an effort to provide United States servicemen and women stationed overseas with a slice of stateside college sports, College Sports TV has reached an agreement by which it will provide select programming free of charge to the American Forces Network (AFN) for distribution by AFN to military bases overseas.
The Army-Navy lacrosse game will be the first College Sports TV telecast airing on AFN. College Sports TV will carry the game live, while AFN will air it on a tape-delayed basis on Tuesday, March 30, at 9 p.m. ET. The game can also be heard via the radio at 1430 WNAV with Pete Medhurst calling the action.
College Sports TV will also televise the Mids' April 24 contest against Johns Hopkins at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium live at 12-Noon, while AFN will present it Tuesday, April 27, at 12 a.m. ET.
AFN programming is distributed to Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine bases, as well as United States embassies, in 177 countries and territories worldwide. The AFN also is available on U.S. Navy ships at sea.
CSTV, the first 24-hour college sports network, is available to more than 17 million homes nationally on cable and satellite. The network is available on Time Warner, Adelphia and Insight cable systems, among others, and is also available on DirecTV (channel 610). For information on CSTV availability in particular markets, consumers can log on to www.collegesports.com or call their cable or satellite operator.
