A total of 775 student-athletes were named to the Patriot League's 2002-03 Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, it was announced by Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich. Thirty-nine of the honorees registered a perfect 4.00 grade point average during the Spring 2003 semester.

There were also 510 student-athletes on the 2002-03 Fall Academic Honor Roll, giving the League 1,285 honorees for the academic year. Of those, 59 earned 4.00 GPAs

To be eligible for the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the semester of championship competition and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the 22 PL championship sports.

The Fall Academic Honor Roll includes the sports of cross country, field hockey, football, soccer and volleyball while the Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll includes the sports of basketball, track & field, swimming & diving, baseball, golf, lacrosse, softball and tennis.

Bucknell University led the way with 297 student-athletes on the League's 2002-03 Academic Honor Rolls. The Bison had 111 on the Fall Academic Honor Roll and 186 on the Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll.

Bolstered by 62 members of the men's and women's track & field team on the Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, Holy Cross had the second-highest total of Academic Honor Roll members with 191, followed by Lehigh (161), Lafayette (156) and American (140).

The Track & Field Academic Honor Roll, which includes both the indoor and outdoor seasons and is part of the Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, had the highest number of student-athletes with 281, including 145 women and 136 men.
