Colgate and Lehigh rallied in the fourth quarter to win their games, and Towson broke a team record for most combined points in a game, as Patriot League teams posted five non-League football victories Saturday, including four out of seven games against Ivy League opponents.

Bucknell added a fourth victory against an Ivy League opponent with a 14-3 decision over visiting Cornell while Georgetown gave the PL a fifth non-League win Saturday with a 21-3 triumph over Fairfield. Colgate, Bucknell and Georgetown all gained their first wins of the season.

In other action, 23rd-ranked Holy Cross fell short in a second-half rally and lost at Harvard, 28-23; Columbia kicked a late field goal to down visiting Fordham 13-11, and Pennsylvania opened its season with a 52-21 triumph at Lafayette.

Colgate used a 167-yard rushing performance by Sr. FB Justin Polk, all in the fourth quarter, including the game-winning touchdown on a six-yard burst in the final minutes, to lift the Raiders to a 30-26 victory over Dartmouth. It was CU's first win of the season.

Lehigh needed a 24-point rally in the fourth quarter to overcome an outstanding effort by Princeton at Goodman Stadium. The Tigers dominated the third-ranked Mountain Hawks in the first half, taking a 24-7 halftime lead. LU's defense shut down the visitors in the second half and sparked the offense to the victory 31-24 victory. Lehigh evened the game on a Matt Salvaterra interception return, then scored the game-winning TD with 13 seconds left on a 12-yard pass from QB Chad Schwenk to FB Justin Barrasso.

Towson QB Jay Amer completed 18 of 30 passes for 309 yards and four TDs while RB Matt Romeo added 168 rushing yards and two TDs as the Tigers exploded for a 56-42 victory over Brown. It was the first time in four tries Towson has defeated an Ivy League team in TU football history.
