The 2016 Patriot League Softball Tournament will feature four teams in a double-elimination format, and will be hosted by the top overall seed -- Lehigh -- for three days from Thursday, May 12-Saturday, May 14. The opening round on May 12 has #4 Bucknell against #1 Lehigh and #3 Boston University versus #2 Army West Point. The next day has the two winners from the opening day squaring off as well as the two losing teams in the first elimination game. A second elimination game will follow matching up the loser from game three and the winner from game four. Saturday's championship features the winner from game three against the winner from game five, with the game three winner needing one victory and the game five winner needing two to claim the title. The Patriot League champion receives the League's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
