2021 Football Championship
Patriot League consists of six teams for the 2021 spring season with three teams in the North Division and three teams in the South Division. The top seed in each division will play for the 2021 Patriot League Football Championship. Note: The two divisional champions will be determined by the divisional record only.
NOTE: The first game played against a divisional opponent counts toward the divisional standings. Additional games against the same divisional opponent would count toward the overall League winning percentage, which could be utilized for tiebreaking purposes.
1. TWO TEAMS
A. Head-to-head result, if applicable
B. Record versus common division opponents
C. Record versus common non-divisional opponents
D. Point differential (cap 20 points per game) within the division.
E. Point differential (cap 20 points per game) – all League games;
F. Draw or coin flip by Commissioner (conducted on Zoom)
2. MULTIPLE TEAMS
A. Records between tied teams;
B. Comparison of records beginning with the highest seed not involved in the tie in the division
C. Record versus common division opponents
D. Record versus common non-divisional opponents
E. Point differential (cap 20 points per game) within the division
F. Point differential (cap 20 points per game) – all League games
G. Draw or coin flip by Commissioner (conducted on Zoom)
3. DETERMINING A CHAMPIONSHIP HOST
A. Head-to-head result, if applicable;
B. Best overall winning percentage [minimum of three games played, 4-0 better than 3-0; if one team is 2-2 and the other is 1-1, proceed to next step];
C. Record versus common non-divisional opponents;
D. Point differential (cap 20 points per game) – all League games;
E. Draw or coin flip by Commissioner (conducted on Zoom).
