Patriot League Tiebreaking Procedures

Two-Team Tiebreaker
1. Non-League contests completed before the Monday prior to the Championship will be included in the tiebreaker formula, if necessary. Any non-League contest played on or after the Monday prior to the Championship will not be included in the tiebreaker formula.

a. Head-to-head League match between tied teams.
b. Head-to-head set record between tied teams.
c. Head-to-head League between match record vs. teams up and down standings.
d. Head-to-head League set record vs. teams up and down standings.
e. Percentage of total points between tied teams.

Multi-Team Tiebreaker
2. In the case of multiple ties (more than two teams tied for the same spot), the following process will be used: Note: The entire process for multiple-team ties must be completed. The Patriot League does not revert back to the two-way tie formula once the multiple-team tie has been resolved.
 
a. Head-to-head League match (1 team could emerge as a winner; if teams are still tied move to step 2).
b. Compare set record (with remaining two or more teams’ comparison in ‘mini conference’).
c. Percentage of total points between tied teams.
