The Patriot League's redesigned website (www.patriotleague.com), a member of the CSTV's CollegeSports Online network, will be unveiled at 7 p.m. (EST) Friday, Aug. 20, it was announced by Carolyn Schlie Femovich, Executive Director of the Patriot League. The League renewed its agreement with CSTV's CollegeSports Online in June. The League originally had a three-year contract with the FansOnly Network, beginning in 2001. FansOnly grew into the Official College Sports Network (OCSN) in 2003 before merging with CSTV in 2004. Among the improvements to the new website include:
* Headlines from all eight full-member institutions will be available on the initial home-page screen;
* More variety of photos with headline stories;
* More photos with secondary stories;
* An improved scoreboard on the home page;
* An improved design of services listed on the home page;
* New features, such as "Patriot League Success Stories";
* Video-streaming capabilities will be available.
Another change to the website will be the addition of American University to the CollegeSports Online network in late August, 2004. The Eagles join Army, Bucknell and Lafayette on the CollegeSports Online network, meaning all stories related to the Patriot League's 23 championship-sponsored sports will appear on the Patriot League website when they are posted on the institution's athletic website.
