Patriot League announces hiring of Sport Management and Compliance Assistant and Media Relations Assistant

Patriot League Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich announced today the hiring of Kaitlyn Cerco as Sport Management and Compliance Assistant and Nick Nagel as Media Relations Assistant. Cerco will be joining the League office on Aug. 15 and Nagel on Sept. 6.

"We are very pleased that Kaitlyn and Nick will be joining the Patriot League office staff," Femovich said. "During their time at the Patriot League both will gain significant experience in a variety of athletic administration areas."

Cerco will primarily assist in the areas of compliance and sport governance, while Nagel will help support the day-to-day operations of the Media Relations office. Both will contribute to the League's championship administration.

Kaitlyn Cerco


A native of Clarks Summit, Pa., Cerco received a bachelor's degree in History with a minor in Business Management from Moravian College, Bethlehem, Pa., where she also played lacrosse.

She is currently completing her master's degree in Sport Management from East Stroudsburg University. While at ESU, she was a graduate assistant for the Intramural and Recreation Department. In addition, she is an assistant lacrosse coach at Moravian College.

Nagel graduated from St. John's (N.Y.) University in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in Sport Management and earned a minor in Business. While at St. John's, Nagel assisted in the Athletic Communications office where he was the official scorer for men's and women's basketball and assisted with the day-to-day operations of the office.

Most recently Nagel served as the Athletic Communications/Event Management Assistant at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I. He served as the primary media contact for nine of the Bulldogs' intercollegiate sports. He produced media guides, game stories and statistics for his assigned sports. He also oversaw event set-up and teardown, supervised student workers during athletic events, produced public address announcements and served as public address announcer. Along with those duties he served as a color commentator for Bryant University basketball games on Internet radio.

Nick Nagel


Prior to that, Nagel worked seven summers for the City of Allentown Recreation Department. While there he was involved with many projects including running the Allentown High School Basketball League and assisting with the management of the Stellar Catch a Rising Star Basketball Tournament.
