What's New with Patriot League Social Media this Week

Center Valley, Pa. - With League play beginning in men's soccer and volleyball this week, the Patriot League Gameday Blog, Twitter and Facebook pages include more coverage than ever for fans to stay in touch with all of the action.

Below, take a look at the offerings of each of the social media outlets and what's coming up next.

Patriot League Gameday Blog: The blog has become the place to go for extended coverage of all of the action in Patriot League sports, and includes posts for five different sports in the past two days. It is the only place to find previews for all of this weekend's men's soccer and volleyball League action, with links to the Patriot League composite schedule including multimedia access to the events. The preview for the Patriot League football weekend includes the weekend synopsis from www.patriotleague.org, as well as key links for following the action. The Gameday Blog also includes posts highlighting American's challenging upcoming weekend in field hockey and the recent news in men's basketball. Follow the Patriot League Gameday Blog on Saturday for updates on the Patriot League Football action, and throughout the weekend for any major highlights from all of the Patriot League sports.

Patriot League Twitter: The Twitter page continues to feature all of the latest news on the Patriot League, some of which is only available to Twitter followers. For the third week in a row, the Patriot League Players of the Week in all fall sports were first announced on the Twitter page on Monday and Tuesday. The Twitter page also includes links to Patriot League releases. More pieces of information that are exclusively available on Twitter include the link to voting for Liberty Mutual FCS Coach of the Year honors, the release of Patriot League and NCAA FCS statistics, and an alert after posts have been made to the Patriot League Gameday Blog. Look for score updates and more on Twitter this weekend.

Patriot League Facebook: The Facebook page includes two new videos that are only available to its fans this week. A 30-second spot that describes the Patriot League and its academic and athletic accomplishments was posted along with a prmotional video for the 2010 Patriot League Women's Basketball Tournament. The Facebook page will soon include more photos, videos and events along with releases to provide fresh information to its followers.
