Patriot League Announces 2025-26 Championship Schedule

The League’s 23-sport championship schedule opens with men’s and women’s cross country on Oct. 31

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League announced dates for its 23-sport championship schedule for the 2025-26 academic year.
 
The 2025 Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championship kicks off the academic year’s slate on Friday, Oct. 31, at Lehigh University’s Goodman Campus Cross Country Course.
 
Details for the Patriot League’s 23 championship are available via the League’s official website – www.patriotleague.org. The majority of Patriot League Championships will be streamed on The Patriot League on ESPN+. CBS Sports Network will also provide coverage for several League championships.
 
FALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Regular-season competition will determine the sites for field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball. The 2025 Patriot League Field Hockey Championship will be hosted by the tournament’s No. 1 seed, beginning with semifinal-round action on Thursday, Nov. 6. The championship game is set for Saturday, Nov. 8. 
 
The 2025 PenFed Credit Union Patriot League Women’s Soccer Championship begins with the quarterfinal round on Sunday, Nov. 2, at the home site of the tournament’s No. 3 and No. 4 seeds. The semifinal contests on Thursday, Nov. 6, will be hosted by the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds, with the 2025 women’s soccer championship game taking place at the highest-remaining seed on Sunday, Nov. 9. The championship game will be aired live on CBS Sports Network for the fourth straight season.
 
The men’s soccer championship will follow the same format, with the quarterfinal round on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the home site of the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds. Semifinal-round action will continue on Tuesday, Nov. 11, with the championship game hosted by the highest-remaining seed on Saturday, Nov. 15. 
 
The six-team Patriot League Volleyball Championship starts on Tuesday, Nov. 18, with quarterfinal-round matches at the home of the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds. The top seed will host the semifinal round (Nov. 21) and championship match (Nov. 23). The field hockey, women’s cross country and volleyball championships are presented by Credit Union 1.
 
WINTER CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Patriot League winter championship season begins with the four-day men’s and women’s swimming and diving championships beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 18, and concluding on Saturday, Feb. 21, at the United States Naval Academy’s Lejeune Hall. Boston University will host the 2025-26 Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track and Field Championships at Boston University Track and Tennis Center in Boston, Mass., on Saturday, Feb. 28 and Sunday, March 1. The women’s swimming and diving and indoor track and field championships are presented by Credit Union 1.
 
Home sites for the 2025-26 PenFed Credit Union Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships will be determined by seeding. The men’s basketball championship first round is Tuesday, March 3, at the home court of the No. 7 and No. 8 seeds. The top four seeds in the tournament earn home games in the quarterfinals on Thursday, March 5, before the two highest-remaining seeds host the semifinal-round games on Sunday, March 8. The Patriot League Men’s Basketball Championship Game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 11, at the home of the highest-remaining seed.

The first round of the women’s basketball championship is Saturday, March 7, at the home of the No. 7 and No. 8 seeds. The four highest seeds will host games in the quarterfinal round on Monday, March 9, with the two highest-remaining seeds at home for the semifinal round on Thursday, March 12. The Patriot League Women’s Basketball Championship Game will be played at the home of the highest-remaining seed on Sunday, March 15. 
 
SPRING CHAMPIONSHIPS
Destinations for seven of the Patriot League’s 11 spring championship sports have been determined. Bucknell University will host the women’s tennis championship from Thursday, April 16, through Sunday, April 19. The men’s tennis championship will be played the following weekend (April 23-26) at Lehigh University. The 2026 Patriot League Women’s Golf Championship, hosted by the United States Naval Academy, will be played over three days (April 17-19) at U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, Md. The men’s golf championship will be hosted by the United States Military Academy at West Point Golf Club in West Point, N.Y. (April 24-26).
 
The 2026 Patriot League Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Championships will occur from May 15-16 at the U.S. Naval Academy’s Ingram Field in Annapolis, Md. The Patriot League Women’s Rowing Championship returns to the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J., on Friday, May 15.
  
Host sites for the four remaining spring championships will be determined by regular-season competition. The women’s lacrosse championship begins with a pair of quarterfinal-round games on Sunday, April 26, at the home of the third and fourth seeds. The top seed will host the semifinal round (April 30) and the championship game (May 2). The men’s lacrosse championship begins at the homes of the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds, with quarterfinal games on Tuesday, April 28. The No. 1 seed will host the semifinals (May 1) and the championship game (May 3).
 
The top seed will host the 2026 Patriot League Softball Championship, which begins on Thursday, May 7. The double-elimination format will conclude on Saturday, May 9. The top two seeds will host the best-of-three-game Patriot League Baseball Championship semifinals from May 9-10. The best-of-three-game championship series will be hosted by the highest-remaining seed beginning at least five days after the final game of the semifinal series.
 
The women’s golf, tennis, lacrosse, outdoor track and field, rowing and softball championships are presented by Credit Union 1.
