Patriot League Launches New Feature Video Webcast on All-Access

Oct. 7, 2010

Center Valley, Pa. - The Patriot League launched its new magazine-format video Webcast show "Sidelines: Inside the Patriot League" on its All-Access channel today.

The feature Webcast, hosted by the Patriot League's coordinator of multimedia, Jimmy Johnson, is a 10- to 15-minute show that will include features produced by the Patriot League, as well as pieces produced and published by its member institutions.

Sidelines is free to all viewers who visit the Patriot League's All-Access channel. The features from member institutions will appear as they are produced by the athletic media relations departments.

The League will produce its own content weekly, as well.

Sidelines will stream online on Patriot League All-Access and on the Patriot League's YouTube channel on a weekly basis - with a few exceptions, depending on athletic schedules and holidays and winter and summer breaks.

The new Patriot League All-Access multimedia player was launched in July with new features that include expanded video navigation controls and advanced search functions to help you get the content you crave. A new on-page video player interface is compatible with Adobe Flash-enabled web browsers and offers a full-screen mode.

Some of the other enhancements included:

- Video jogging for fast forwarding/rewinding
- Tabbed audio/video menu
- Thumbnails of video items in menu
- Unique video links for easy link sharing
- "Share" function to send links to social media sites
- E-mail to a Friend function
- New loading/buffering indicators
The Patriot League also offers live games during League basketball season on All-Access, as well as live video from several League championship events.
