Center Valley, Pa. -- The Patriot League announced its weekly awards for Nov. 8-14 in volleyball and swimming and diving Monday.
The 2010 Patriot League women's volleyball championship tournament field is set and will begin Saturday at American University. The Eagles completed their regular-season slate undefeated in the League with a 14-0 record. American outside hitter Angelina Waterman was honored as the Patriot League Player of the Week. Colgate's Kaylee Fifer, who helped defeat Army, was named the Rookie of the Week.
In swimming and diving, Bucknell and Colgate split the weekly awards. The Bison's Mike Nicholson was named the Male Swimmer of the Week and David Magaro was selected as the Male Diver of the Week. Colgate swept the women's awards with Caren Guyett being named the Swimmer of the Week and Kim Pilka earning the Diver of the Week award.

Player of the Week
ANGELINA WATERMAN, AMERICAN Sr., OH, Queens, N.Y.
Waterman led the Eagles to a pair of victories over the weekend to complete a perfect 14-0 season in League play for first-place American. She tallied 16 digs against Lehigh and 10 more against Lafayette while hitting .512 over the two matches. She averaged 4.34 kills and 2.17 digs per set over the weekend.
Rookie of the Week
KAYLEE FIFER, COLGATE Fr., S, Lantana, Texas
Fifer recorded a double-double of 28 assists and 12 digs in Friday's 3-1 win over Army, and pitched in another 28 assists and eight digs in Saturday's sweep of Lehigh. She averaged 8.00 assists and 2.85 digs per set as the Raiders firmed up the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Patriot League Tournament, which starts Saturday at American.
Honorable Mentions
MEGAN WILTON, ARMY Fr., MB, Roseville, Calif.
Wilton hit .342 for the weekend, including .529 in Saturday's 3-0 victory over Bucknell. She tallied 17 kills and seven total blocks during Army's 1-1 weekend.
ALANA TAYLOR, LAFAYETTE Jr., MB, Portland, Ore.
Taylor recorded 16 kills and hit .550 during the Leopards' 1-1 weekend. She recorded 12 kills and only one error in 20 chances in Friday's five-set victory over Navy.
MAUREEN COLLIGAN, COLGATE Jr., OH, Odessa, Fla.
Colligan netted 19 kills and hit .378 in the Raiders' four-set win over Army Friday. For the week she averaged 3.25 kills per set and recorded a .333 hitting percentage while picking up four total blocks.

Male Swimmer of the Week
MIKE NICHOLSON, BUCKNELL Fr., Chappaqua, N.Y.
Nicholson captured two races in Bucknell's 160-52 victory against Colgate. He won the 400-yard individual medley in 4:03.78 and captured the 200 breast in 2:07.63. Both were season bests for the freshman, who won the two events by a combined 9.51 seconds. Nicholson now has nine total first-place finishes on the season.
Female Swimmer of the Week
CAREN GUYETT, COLGATE Sr., Yorktown Heights, N.Y.
Guyett captured two individual first-place finishes Saturday at Colgate defeated Bucknell 156-87 in Lewisburg, Pa. She won the 400 IM in 4:28.07 and took first in the 500 free in 4:58.73. She was also a member of the Raiders' first-place 400 medley relay squad that posted its victory in 3:52.33. Guyett now has eight individual race victories in four meets this season.
Male Diver of the Week
DAVID MAGARO, BUCKNELL So., Enola, Pa.
Magaro captured the 1-meter event with 242.03 points in Bucknell's 108-point victory over Colgate Saturday in Lewisburg. It is Magaro's second-best score of the season and his first victory in six tries this year.
Female Diver of the Week
KIM PILKA, COLGATE So., Great Falls, Va.
Pilka swept the 1- and 3-meter events Saturday in Colgate's 156-87 victory at Bucknell. She won from the 1-meter board with 244.65 points, just over 37 points ahead of second place. In the 3-meter event, she captured a 33-point victory by collecting 272.70 points. It's the third time in four meets this year that Pilka has swept both dives.

MOLLY GOEBEL, BUCKNELL Sr., New Canaan, Conn.
Goebel posted individual wins in the 50 and 100 freestyle events and swam the fourth leg of Bucknell's winning 200 free relay Saturday against Colgate. She was the Bison's only individual winner in the meet.
