Center Valley, Pa. -- The Lafayette men's and women's soccer teams both have gotten off to great starts in Patriot League play, and the Leopards were a big part of Patriot League All-Access this week.

The Patriot League interviewed Lafayette women's soccer junior goalie Lauren Smedley and sixth-year coach Mick Statham after their 1-0 win on Oct. 7. Patriot League All-Access || YouTube

And Lafayette senior forward Janelle Pierson was featured on this week's edition of "Player of the Week Interviews." From an offensive standpoint, Pierson single-handedly lifted Lafayette to a pair of important League victories last weekend. She tallied the only goal in the Leopards' 1-0 victory over Navy Friday night before heading in the game-winner 59 seconds into overtime in Sunday's come-from-behind 2-1 triumph against American. The Patriot League also posted its latest edition of "Patriot League Roundup" on Tuesday, which included highlights from Bucknell and Lehigh football; Lafayette and Lehigh men's soccer; and Army, Lafayette and Navy women's soccer. "Patriot League Roundup" is a weekly hosted show that takes fans on a tour around the League, supplying them with the latest scores and highlights from the last week.
