This Week on Patriot League All-Access

Oct. 7, 2011

Center Valley, Pa. -- It was a busy week on Patriot League All-Access with all the regular features, as well as some added coverage from the S.A.A.C. Retreat in Philadelphia, Paul Short Run coverage, and a feature on Army volleyball coach Alma Kovaci and Lehigh volleyball coach Bob Bertucci.

League volleyball opened two weeks ago with Army and Lehigh matching up in Bethlehem, Pa., where a reunion occurred between Bertucci and his former player, Kovaci. Patriot League All-Access || YouTube

The Patriot League was at the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa., on Sept. 30, and Bucknell's Stephanie Fulmer and Lehigh's Evans Kosgei were both interviewed by Patriot League All-Access.

Football has reached its midseason point, so that means it's time once again for midseason interviews, and the Patriot League kicked it off Friday with two interviews with Bucknell coach Joe Susan and Lehigh coach Andy Coen, whose teams will face each other Saturday in Lewisburg, Pa.

The Patriot League also posted its latest edition of "Patriot League Roundup" on Tuesday, which included highlights from Bucknell, Colgate, Georgetown and Lehigh football; American and Army women's volleyball; Army and Navy men's soccer; Army, Holy Cross and Lehigh women's soccer; and the Paul Short Run in cross country . "Patriot League Roundup" is a weekly hosted show that takes fans on a tour around the League, supplying them with the latest scores and highlights from the last week.

The League also posted this week's edition of "Player of the Week Interview," as Matt Dougherty interviewed Bucknell defensive lineman Robert De La Rosa. De La Rosa, the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week, led the Bucknell defense with a dominant game in a 35-18 win over Georgetown on Saturday. He finished with nine tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and a forced fumble to lead a Bucknell unit that held Georgetown to negative rushing yardage in the game. The 6.5 tackles for loss rank tied for third on the FCS single-game list since 2000, and his 12.5 tackles for loss for the season lead the nation. He set a career-high in sacks and equaled a career-best in tackles. De La Rosa earns his first Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week award one week after fellow defensive lineman Josh Eden won the honor for Bucknell. Patriot League All-Access || YouTube

Also back this week on All-Access is "Top Plays of the Week," which is a gathering of highlights from the League's member institutions. Plays are submitted by the schools and selected for the feature. Check out this week's top plays. Patriot League All-Access || YouTube

The Patriot League also interviewed eight student-athletes and Julie Sterrett, the Director of the Lehigh Athletics Leadership Academy, at the 2011 Patriot League S.A.A.C. Retreat in Philadelphia. Click here for access to all the video links
