Center Valley, Pa. - About 50 scholars from higher education institutions across the country gathered at the College of the Holy Cross for the third annual Patriot League Academic Conference in early November.
Interviews from the conference are now available at the ethics curriculum page of the Patriot League Academic Network, which was launched earlier in the year to showcase some of the nation's premier academic institutions and provides individuals the opportunity to learn about the excellent academic programs and outstanding communities at each of the League schools through various multimedia formats.
The conference began with a panel discussion moderated by Timothy Austin, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the College. A wide range of topics on the theme, Ethics Across the Curriculum, were explored, including linking ethics in the curriculum with "real life," incorporating an ethics perspective into courses, the importance of institutional mission, ethics and athletics, and institutional programs promoting ethics across the curriculum.
It is the second series on the Patriot League Academic Network after a feature detailing the impact that several schools had on assisting with recovery following the earthquakes in Haiti premiered in the spring.
On Patriot League Academic Network, institutions feature videos about campus life, notably their academic offerings and the accomplishments for the students, faculty and staff. The site can be viewed at www.patriotleagueacademicnetwork.org, and is accessible through the front page at www.patriotleague.org
