Volleyball Quartet Name to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

EASTON, Pa. -

Four members of the Lafayette volleyball team have been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Freshmen Molly Belcher, Karissa Ciliento, Morgan Loeffler and Gina Morrone all merited the honor by earning a grade-point average of 3.20 or higher in the fall semester.

Belcher, a setter from Columbus, Ohio, earned a 3.32 grade-point average as an Asian Studies major. She appeared in 54 sets and dished out 5.37 assists per set. Belcher, who started 11 matches for the Leopards, also averaged 1.81 digs per set and had a hand in nine blocks.

An outside hitter from Mahwah, N.J., Ciliento posted a 3.25 grade-point average in the fall semester. She appeared in 72 sets, making 17 starts and appearing in 25 total matches. Ciliento ranked fourth on the team with 1.46 digs per set while also piling up 24 service aces and averaged 1.69 digs per set.

Loeffler, a defensive specialist from Trinity, N.C., owns a team-high 3.57 grade-point average. She appeared in two sets in her freshman campaign.

A defensive specialist and outside hitter from Orefield, Pa., Morrone earned a 3.32 grade-point average as a Film & Media Studies major. She appeared in six sets over four matches this past season, compiling three kills, an assist and a dig.
