CBS Sports Network to Air Encores of Patriot League Contests

July 5, 2011

Center Valley, Pa. - The 2010-11 Patriot League season has come and gone, but fans will have the opportunity to enjoy some of the top televised men and women's basketball and lacrosse contests of the year as CBS Sports Network airs re-plays of the action in the next week.

The re-plays start on Tuesday, with encores of both Army/Navy men's basketball regular-season contests as well as the Patriot League Women's Basketball Championship game. Patriot League action takes over the majority of the schedule beginning at 3 p.m. and lasting into the early morning hours Wednesday with the re-broadcast of both Army/Navy women's basketball regular-season matchups.

The Patriot League action continues on Wednesday afternoon, and this time it's lacrosse in the spotlight. Beginning at noon, CBS Sports Network will re-air a pair of women's lacrosse regular-season contests (Colgate at Navy and Lehigh at Navy) before showing Navy's victory over Colgate in the Championship game. In the evening, men's lacrosse takes the air with re-broadcasts of the Army/Navy regular-season matchup and Colgate/Army semifinal contest in the Patriot League Tournament. Lacrosse re-plays continue in the morning hours on Thursday.

Next week, Patriot League men's basketball contests will be featured on both Monday and Tuesday. Encore presentations include American at Lehigh and Lafayette at Lehigh on Monday, with the Holy Cross at Bucknell contest shown at midnight Tuesday. The action continues on Tuesday morning with additional re-plays of the Navy at Army and Lafayette at Lehigh contests.

The Patriot League and CBS Sports Network announced on June 22 a multi-year agreement in which the Network will air Patriot League men's and women's basketball, men's lacrosse and football. The deal provides for a minimum of 12 Patriot League men's basketball regular-season and tournament contests, including the men's basketball championship, which will air on CBS Sports Network for the first time.
