Center Valley, Pa. -- League play opened in men's soccer and women's volleyball and Patriot League All-Access had it covered with a new edition "Patriot League Roundup" and a new edition of "Patriot League Top Plays."
The start of League play in volleyball also was covered with a feature on Holy Cross junior Megan Lynch, who reached 1,000 kills in the Crusaders' 3-0 win over Lafayette Friday. She spoke to All-Access about it on Saturday. Patriot League All-Access || YouTube
The Patriot League also posted its latest edition of "Patriot League Roundup" on Tuesday, which included highlights from Bucknell, Lehigh and Lafayette football; American, Army, Bucknell, Holy Cross, Lafayette and Lehigh women's volleyball; and American, Army, Holy Cross and Colgate men's soccer. "Patriot League Roundup" is a weekly hosted show that takes fans on a tour around the League, supplying them with the latest scores and highlights from the last week. The League also posted this week's edition of "Player of the Week Interview," as James Greene interviewed Lehigh men's soccer player Jordie Ciuffetelli, who was the BRINE Defensive Player of the Week. Ciuffetelli was the star of Saturday's defensive struggle between League rivals Bucknell and Lehigh. He made his way onto the score sheet with the assist on Kevin Strunk's game-winning double-overtime marker in the 106th minute that lifted the Mountain Hawks to a 1-0 victory over the Bison in Lewisburg. But the match might not have gotten that far had it not been for Ciuffetelli's two defensive saves when he cleared a ball off the goal line. The first came in the first half, while the second was in double overtime, shortly before Strunk headed in the game-winner.
