CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- League play is once again at center stage on Patriot League Network this weekend as football, men's soccer, women's soccer, field hockey and volleyball march through their October slates.

The focus will be on volleyball and women's soccer on Friday night with three contests scheduled for 7 p.m. The first berth to the Patriot League Tournament can be clinched as Navy women's soccer tries to punch its ticket when it visits Holy Cross. The volleyball schedule moves to its halfway point this weekend, with Navy hosting American in the eighth League match for both squads. Elsewhere, two teams will officially start their second legs as Lafayette entertains Lehigh in a rematch of their clash on Sept. 18 won by the Mountain Hawks in four sets.

Patriot League Network has another full day of games slated for Saturday. Lehigh and Georgetown continue their push for a League football crown when the two meet at Goodman Stadium in Bethlehem, Pa., for a 12:30 p.m. kickoff. Men's soccer has four matches on the docket starting with Boston University's visit to Lafayette at 2 p.m. The other three matchups (Navy at Bucknell; Loyola Maryland at Lehigh; Holy Cross at Colgate) are scheduled for 7 p.m. Three battles in field hockey will air on PLN with Boston University hosting Bucknell and Holy Cross visiting Lafayette at noon, while Colgate entertains Lehigh at 1 p.m. The schedule is rounded out by an important women's soccer battle at 2 p.m. with Boston University hosting Loyola, while Army heads to Holy Cross for a volleyball clash at 4 p.m.

Field hockey returns to PLN on Sunday when Colgate hosts Harvard in a non-League tilt at noon.

The schedule early next week features another big League volleyball showdown as Colgate welcomes Bucknell on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. start. The day's schedule also boasts three non-League tilts in men's soccer.

Women's soccer League play continues on PLN on Wednesday with five big battles. The push for the Patriot League Tournament will resume at 6 p.m. when Army visits Holy Cross. At 7 p.m. Colgate hosts Boston University, Lafayette entertains Bucknell, American heads to Loyola and Navy welcomes Lehigh.
