Patriot League Weekly Awards - 11.18.13 
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- The Patriot League announced its weekly awards for Nov. 11-17 in volleyball and swimming and diving.

MOLTEN PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MONIKA SMIDOVA, AMERICAN Jr., S, Plzen, Czech Republic
Smidova paced American's offense to three straight League wins to close out the regular season and help the Eagles collect hosting duties for the Patriot League Tournament for the 11th time. The junior setter dished 31 assists in Wednesday's straight-sets victory over Navy, and added 52 more in Friday's 3-1 triumph over Lehigh. With her team assured of hosting the four-team playoff with a win on Saturday over Colgate, Smidova doled out 36 assists as the Eagles won in three. Smidova averaged 11.90 assists and was also helpful on the defensive end with 2.20 digs and 1.00 blocks per set.
MOLTEN ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
OLIVIA FAIRFIELD, ARMY Fr., MB, Iowa City, Iowa
Army snapped a four-match skid with two victories over the weekend to finish off the regular season, including Friday's postseason-clinching win at Navy. Fairfield struck seven kills and hit .462 in that 3-0 triumph which gave the Black Knights the fourth and final spot in the Patriot League Tournament. With the tournament's third seed at stake on Saturday, Fairfield had 13 kills with three errors and struck .400 with seven digs to pace the Black Knights to a 3-1 victory at Lafayette. For the weekend, Fairfield hit .421 and averaged 2.86 kills and 1.43 digs per frame.
HONORABLE MENTIONS
LINDSAY YOUNG, COLGATE Sr., OH, Tampa, Fla.
Had a big weekend hitting .500 in 52 attempts and averaged 4.28 kills while the Raiders went 1-1 and clinched the tournament's second seed. Posted 16 kills in Friday's four-set win over Loyola Maryland, and added 14 in Saturday's loss at American.
SAMANTHA VOLK, LAFAYETTE Fr., S, Houston, Texas
Averaged 9.29 assists and 1.14 digs per set as Lafayette went 1-1 on the last weekend of the regular season. Dished 32 assists in Friday's 3-0 win over Holy Cross, and chipped in 33 more Saturday against Army.
FAYE LUKAS, LOYOLA MARYLAND Sr., OH, Stockertown, Pa.
Finished her collegiate career with a season-high 24 kills in Saturday's five-set win over Bucknell. Hit .257 for the weekend with 4.11 kills per set.

MALE SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
AIDAN O'HARA, LOYOLA MARYLAND Fr., Sterling, Va.
O'Hara won three individual races and was part of another victorious relay as the Greyhounds handed Colgate a 197-91 defeat on Saturday in Baltimore. The rookie picked up his third 200-yard back victory of the season in 1:52.52, and added first-place clockings in the 100 back (52.87) and 500 free (4:49.27). He finished his day by helping the Greyhounds win the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:37.98.
FEMALE SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
MORGAN COHARA, COLGATE So., Sagamore Hills, Ohio
Cohara was responsible for five individual victories for the Raiders during their 1-1 weekend. She tallied three wins in Sunday's 197-90 victory over Niagara, taking gold in the 100 back (58.19), 500 free (5:05.59) and 1,000 free (10:23.26). Cohara's first win of the weekend came in Saturday's meet against Loyola Maryland when she touched first in the 500 free (5:04.49), and added another win in the 100 back (58.43) and second place in the 1,000 free (10:21.73).

MICHAEL BROWN, LOYOLA MARYLAND Sr., Timonium, Md.
Brown swept the boards in Loyola's 197-91 victory over Colgate on Saturday in the program's first meeting as Patriot League foes. He scored his fourth one-meter victory with a season-high score of 292.79, and added his second three-meter win this season with 281.02 points.
FEMALE DIVER OF THE WEEK
ELLE MIXA, LOYOLA MARYLAND Sr., St. Petersburg Beach, Fla.
Mixa picked up her sixth and seventh victories off the diving boards this season when she swept the competition against Colgate on Saturday. She scored 247.34 points for the one-meter victory, and won off the three-meter with 245.40 points.
HONORABLE MENTIONS
JOON CHUNG, ARMY Jr., Novi, Mich.
Swept the 100 and 200 breast events in 58.62 and 2:07.14, respectively, in Army's 185.5-115.5 loss on Sunday against Columbia. His 200 breast time was a season best.
JOSH URNEZIS, ARMY Jr., Kihei, Hawaii
Took second off the one-meter diving board with 262.35 points and added a third-place showing in the three-meter competition with 259.13 points.
ERIN SHEA, LOYOLA MARYLAND Sr., Elkridge, Md.
Swept the 100 and 200 fly races against Colgate with times of 59.09 and 2:11.27, respectively.
