CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Eight Patriot League student-athletes garnered weekly recognition from national and regional outlets in recent days, including four in football.

Colgate junior defensive lineman Victor Steffen was the top recipient for the week as the Corvias Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week was recognized by four different organizations. He received national honors as The Sports Network FCS Co-Special Teams Player of the Week, College Football Performance Awards FCS Defensive Performer and Defensive Line Performer of the Week and the USA College Football FCS Special Teams Player of the Week. Steffen was also named the Corvias ECAC Co-Special Teams Player of the Week.

Fordham senior quarterback Mike Nebrich took home a pair of national awards for the week as he was selected as an FCS All-Star by College Sporting News and the FCS Quarterback of the Week by USA College Football. Georgetown senior Alec May was named the FCS Defensive Lineman of the Week by USA College Football, while Fordham freshman running back Chase Edmonds claimed the Corvias ECAC Co-Rookie of the Week honor, the third straight time he was selected by the organization.

A pair of women's soccer players were honored, including one on a national level as Navy senior Lily Kraemer was named the Disney Soccer/NSCAA Player of the Week. Lehigh junior goalkeeper Ani Nahapetian was selected as the Corvias ECAC Women's Soccer Co-Defensive Player of the Week. Two others were also honored by the ECAC, as Colgate senior goalkeeper Amanda DiDomizio was named the Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week and Holy Cross freshman midfielder Nicholas Cestaro was selected as the Men's Soccer Co-Rookie of the Week by the organization.
