Patriot League Weekly Awards - 10.6.14 
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- The Patriot League announced its weekly awards for Sept. 29-Oct. 5 in men and women's soccer, field hockey, volleyball and men and women's cross country on Monday.
Corvias Patriot League Men's Soccer Weekly Awards
CORVIAS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JOEY DEVIVO, HOLY CROSS So., F, Ridgefield, Conn.
DeVivo scored a pair of goals in the Crusaders 1-1 week, including his second game-winner of the year in a 1-0 victory at Northeastern. The sophomore also staked Holy Cross to a 1-0 lead early in a contest at 23rd-ranked American with his team-leading third goal of the season. The Crusaders rallied from a 2-1 deficit before falling 3-2 late in the second overtime.
CORVIAS DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JOSEPH GREENSPAN, NAVY Sr., D, Westfield, N.J.
Greenspan played well and was the only Navy player to log all 110 minutes in a 1-1 draw against 20th-ranked George Mason. In Patriot League action, Greenspan came up big both ways as he helped limit Lafayette to seven shots and none on goal and also assisted on Thomas Shiiba's game-winner in the 52nd minute of a 1-0 win.

MATT SANCHEZ, LOYOLA MARYLAND So., GK, Owings Mills, Md.
Sanchez posted his fourth shutout of the season, and first in Patriot League play, as the Greyhounds shut out Colgate for their first League win. The sophomore made four saves, including an athletic leaping stop on a high shot by Troy Moo-Penn from 18 yards out in the 33rd minute, against a Raiders attack that had been averaging 12 shots and 1.33 goals per game.

DOYLE TUVESSON, LEHIGH Fr. F, Kennett Square, Pa.
Tuvesson trailed Bucknell for nearly 70 minutes Saturday before Tuvesson found an equalizer in the 73rd minute of a 1-1 tie. The freshman made several crafty moves to split a group of Bison defenders and sent the ball into the lower left hand corner of the net for his third goal of the season.

CHRISTIAN ROBBS, AMERICAN Sr., D, Athens, Greece
Robbs scored his second goal of the season, a golden goal with 1:23 remaining in the second overtime for a 3-2 win over Holy Cross.
DAVID ASBJORNSSON, BOSTON UNIVERSITY So., M, Reykjavik, Iceland
Asbjornsson played strong as the defensive holding midfielder in the Terriers 2-0 win over Army and also scored his second goal of the season.
NICK THOMSON, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Sr., GK, Cramlington, England
Thomson stopped two shots in the Terriers 2-0 win over Army to earn his fourth shutout of the season.
JAMIE LUCHINI, LEHIGH Jr., M, Wexford, Pa.
Luchini netted his team-best fourth goal of the season for the game-winner in the final minutes of the Mountain Hawks 2-1 win at Bucknell.
CIARAN NUGENT, LEHIGH Sr., GK, Dedham, Mass.
Nugent made five saves in Lehigh's 2-1 win at Bucknell as the Mountain Hawks improved to 2-0 in the Patriot League for the first time since 2006.
RYAN TUCK, LOYOLA MARYLAND So., D, Stokesley, England
Tuck played all 90 minutes in the Greyhounds 1-0 win over Colgate and helped limit the Raiders attack to six shots.
THOMAS SHIIBA, NAVY Jr., F, Swarthmore, Pa.
Shiiba scored the game-winning goal in the 52nd minute of Navy's 1-0 Patriot League win over Lafayette.

Coy helped the Raiders go 1-0-1 over the week by notching three key goals including the game-winner in a win over Army on Wednesday and then netted the equalizer late in a 1-1 tie against Navy on Saturday. In the 88th minute against the Mids, the sophomore fired a shot far post into the right corner of the net for her third goal of the season.

HANNAH BONOTTO, BUCKNELL Sr., D, Carmichael, Calif.
Bonotto played all 180 minutes at center back for a Bucknell team that went 2-0 and allowed only one goal in a pair of Patriot League victories last week. In a 2-1 win at Loyola on Wednesday, Bonotto was part of a defensive effort that allowed only six total shots and just two on goal. The senior anchored the Bison defense again in Saturday's 3-0 shutout of American and netted her first career goal in the 77th minute.

Mason helped keep Colgate in the game against visiting Navy on Saturday with a career-high 10 saves, including two from point-blank range, in a 1-1 tie with the Mids. The sophomore also stopped three shots and recorded her seventh shutout of the season in the Raiders 5-0 victory over Army earlier in the week.

GRACE CORRELL, LEHIGH Fr., F, Bay Head, N.J.
Correll has a hand in all three goals scored last week as the Mountain Hawks went 1-0-1 in a pair of Patriot League contests. The freshman scored both goals in a 2-1 win over archrival Lafayette on Wednesday and then fed Darby Wiegand in the 66th minute on Saturday for the equalizer in a 1-1 tie against Boston University.

JACLYN GIORDANO, LAFAYETTE Sr., F, Ridgefield, Conn.
Giordano scored three goals, including a pair in the second half of a 3-2 double-overtime victory over Holy Cross.
ANI NAHAPETIAN, LEHIGH Jr., GK, Pleasanton, Calif.
Played the entire 110 minutes and stopped five shots in a 1-1 tie against defending Patriot League Champion Boston University.
EMILY KORBER, LEHIGH Jr., D, Massapequa, N.Y.
Korber was the top defender for a Mountain Hawks effort that shut out Boston University over the final 79:25 in 1-1 deadlock.
MEGHAN HEGARTY, NAVY Fr., M, Richmond, Va.
Hegarty scored the first two goals of her career with one each in a win over American and a tie against Colgate.
JADE SEABROOK, NAVY Sr., D, St. Paris, Ohio
Seabrook had a goal and helped limit American and Colgate to only seven shots on goal in a 1-0-1 week for the Mids.

EMILY BRASH, COLGATE So., F, Riverside, Conn.
Brash scored both of Colgate's goals in a 2-1 win at Lehigh on Saturday as the Raiders improved to 3-0 in the Patriot League. She gave the Raiders a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute, and scored the eventual game-winning goal when she provided a key insurance tally for a 2-0 edge in the 60th minute. Brash became one of eight Patriot League players this season to score two goals in a game.
CORVIAS DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
GRACE WILSON, AMERICAN Sr., D, Ann Arbor, Mich.
Wilson keyed a solid defensive effort as the Eagles beat a top-20 opponent for the third time this season with a 1-0 win at No. 19 Cornell on Sunday. The Eagles scored in the 21st minute and held off Cornell the rest of the way, clamping down in the second half by allowing just four shots and one shot on goal by the Big Red. All six of American's victories have come by shutout, and it was the fourth 1-0 win for the Eagles this year. Wilson receives her third Corvias Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week award this season and the ninth in her career.

AMANDA DiDOMIZIO, COLGATE Sr., GK, Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.
DiDomizio receives the Corvias Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week award for the third straight time and seventh in her career after another brilliant effort to lead the Raiders to a 2-1 win over Lehigh on Saturday and a 3-0 record in Patriot League action. DiDomizio stopped 13 shots in the game and did not allow a goal until under three minutes remained to help Colgate win a game where it was outshot 23-14 overall and 14-9 on goal. DiDomizio had shut out her first two Patriot League opponents, and had a streak of 207:11 without allowing a goal in League play until Lehigh's late tally.

ROSIE SHANKS, LAFAYETTE Fr., F, Glascow, Scotland
Shanks sealed Lafayette's 2-0 win over Holy Cross on Saturday by tallying an unassisted insurance goal on a breakaway in the 70th minute. It was the third goal of the season for the freshman, who earns the Corvias Patriot League Rookie of the Week award for the first time.

McBeath made six saves in American's 1-0 win over No. 19 Cornell on Sunday.

Cassera posted a goal and an assist in Boston University's 3-1 win over Harvard on Sunday.

Dennett played a key role for Colgate's defense in a 2-1 win at Lehigh on Saturday.
Molten Patriot League Volleyball Weekly Awards
MOLTEN PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ALLISON CAPPELLINO, AMERICAN Jr., OH, Penfield, N.Y.
Cappellino helped American stretch its winning streak to nine games with strong performances in Patriot League wins over Holy Cross and Army as well as in a non-League match against Maryland-Eastern Shore. Recorded 12 kills in a 3-0 win over Holy Cross and had a career-high 22 kills and a season-high 22 digs in a 3-2 win at Army. Cappellino had six kills in the decisive fifth set against the Black Knights.
MOLTEN ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
AMBER CLAY, ARMY Fr., OH, Saint John, Ind.
Clay set new career-highs with 22 kills and 13 digs Sunday for her first career double-double as Army took defending Patriot League champion American to five sets. The 22 kills were the most for a Black Knights player this season and the freshman also matched a career-high with three blocks against the Eagles.

Walker tallied eight kills, seven digs and three blocks in Bucknell's 3-0 win over Lafayette.

Walker led the Bison to their first sweep of Lafayette since 2011 with 14 kills and 11 digs.
KATHLEEN HARRIS, COLGATE So., OH, Playa del Rey, Calif.
Harris registered double-doubles in a pair of five-set Patriot League wins over Lehigh and Navy.
ELENA SIMPSON, COLGATE Fr., L, London, Ontario
Simpson notched a season-high 27 digs in the Raiders five-set win over Navy.
JADE VAN STREEPEN, LEHIGH Sr., OH, Austin, Texas
Van Streepen recorded a double-double (15 kills, 16 digs) in a five-set loss to Colgate and also had seven kills and eight digs in 3-0 win over Bucknell.

Lukas averaged 4.33 kills and 1.50 digs per set in a pair of Patriot League matches.

M-F ATHLETIC MALE RUNNER OF THE WEEK
STEVE SCHROEDER, NAVY Jr., Monticello, Ill.
Schroeder was the top Patriot League runner at the 8K Paul Short Run on Saturday as he finished the Gold race in a time of 23:57 to place ninth in a field of 358 racers. Schroeder led the Mids to the overall title in the 42-team field that included three nationally-ranked squads and a trio of Patriot League opponents. It was Navy's third invitational victory this season to go with a dual win over regionally-ranked Gonzaga, and Schroeder has been the team's top runner in three of four races. Schroeder is named M-F Athletic Patriot League Male Runner of the Week for the third time this year and fifth in his career.
M-F ATHLETIC FEMALE RUNNER OF THE WEEK
ELIZABETH WEILER, LEHIGH Jr., Chester Springs, Pa.
Weiler had the top performance for a Patriot League female on her home course at the Paul Short Run on Saturday as she finished the 6K Gold race in a time of 20:28. Weiler placed 17th in the field and broke the school course record that had held since 2001. The time was also a personal best and was ahead of all but one runner from the Mid-Atlantic region in a field that included three nationally-ranked teams and multiple regionally-ranked schools. Weiler earns the M-F Athletic Patriot League Female Runner of the Week award for the third time this season.
M-F ATHLETIC MALE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
PATRICK REILLY, LEHIGH Fr., York, Pa.
Reilly finished in a time of 25:34 in the 8K Gold race at the Paul Short Run on Saturday to help Lehigh to a ninth-place finish in the 42-team field. He was the 141st finisher in the race, and among the top 25 freshmen to cross the line. Reilly earns his second M-F Athletic Patriot League Male Rookie of the Week award, and the fourth for Lehigh this season.

HANNAH JETER, HOLY CROSS Fr., Eden Prairie, Minn.
Jeter helped Holy Cross finish third out of 40 teams in the Brown race at the Paul Short Run on Saturday by placing seventh overall with a time of 21:46 in the 6K. She was just one second away from being the top freshman finisher in the race, and was also second among Patriot League runners in a race that included four other League squads. Jeter is named M-F Athletic Patriot League Female Rookie of the Week for the first time after earning the Runner of the Week honor on Sept. 22.

RYAN MAHALSKY, LEHIGH Sr., Hillsborough, N.J.
Mahalsky placed 11th at the Gold race of the Paul Short Run with a time of 23:59 in the 8K, coming just two seconds behind Navy's Steve Schroeder as the top finishing Patriot Leaguer.
LINDSAY GABOW, ARMY Jr., Pelham, N.Y.
Gabow came in 26th place and was second among Patriot League runners at the Gold race of the Paul Short Run with a time of 20:53 in the 6K.
STEPHANIE BENKO, LAFAYETTE Jr., New Canaan, Conn.
Benko came in second place in the Brown race at the Paul Short Run in a time of 21:31 on the 6K course.
