Patriot League Announces Hiring of Kevin Huckel

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Patriot League on Wednesday announced the hiring of Kevin Huckel as its new Associate Director for Championships.

Huckel will coordinate the planning and administration of the Patriot League's 23 championships while also contributing to the League's sport management and governance team.

"I am thrilled about the opportunity to work for the Patriot League," Huckel said. "I want to thank Carolyn Femovich and the Patriot League staff for their confidence in me and I look forward to serving and building relationships with all of the member institutions."

Huckel comes to the Patriot League after working as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Daily Operations at Holy Family University for the past seven years. There he had responsibility for scheduling, maintenance of athletic facilities, oversight for home athletic contests and making travel arrangements for all 15 men and women's teams. Huckel also served as the school's administrator for women's soccer and softball and directed multiple events including the 2008 and 2009 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball East Regional and the 2012 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Men and Women's East Region Championship. He was a member of the NCAA Division II National Women's Lacrosse Selection Committee and the chair of the Division II North Region Advisory Committee for the sport.

Huckel previously worked as the Operations Supervisor of the Charles E. Smith Center at George Washington University as well as an Athletic Facilities and Operations Intern and Assistant Director of Football Operations at the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated from Temple University with a degree in Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Mass Media in 2004, and received his Master's degree in Sport and Recreation Administration from Temple in 2006.

Huckel is a member of both the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association. He resides in Warminster, Pa., with his wife, Ashley.
