CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Seven Patriot Leaguers were recognized by the ECAC when the Corvias weekly awards for the period ending September 7 were announced on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The American men and Navy women's soccer teams led the way with two honorees apiece. Eagles sophomore forward Dale Ludwig and senior defender Jake Weinreb were Corvias ECAC Men's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively. Weinreb shared his award with Siena freshman Josh Weiss.
Julie Schumacher was named Corvias ECAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week and Mids teammate Clare Macadam was the corresponding Rookie of the Week. Schumacher shared the honors with Army sophomore Jordan Cassalia.
A third American student-athlete was honored with junior goalkeeper Kate McBeath receiving Corvias ECAC Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week recognition. The final Patriot League player to earn an award was Bucknell's Brennan Sharkey, who was the Corvias ECAC Rookie of the Week in Women's Cross Country.
