CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- The Patriot League announced its weekly awards for Sept. 22-28 in men and women's soccer, field hockey, volleyball and men and women's cross country on Monday.

Corvias Patriot League Men's Soccer Weekly Awards

CORVIAS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
BRIAN VAIL, LEHIGH
Jr., D, Laguna Beach, Calif.
Vail scored both goals for Lehigh on Saturday as the Mountain Hawks defeated No. 14 American 2-1 in the Patriot League opener. The junior headed in a corner kick in the 43rd minute to give Lehigh a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. After the Eagles scored the equalizer early in the second half, he scored off a free kick from Jamie Luchini in the 88th minute for the game-winner.

Worley helped neutralize American's Joe Iraola, the Patriot League's second leading scorer, as the Mountain Hawks captured a 2-1 league-opening win over the 14th-ranked Eagles. The sophomore made several key defensive plays -- including clearing loose balls out of Lehigh's box - to help preserve the Mountain Hawks first win over American in the last five meetings.

NICK THOMSON, BOSTON UNIVERSITY

Thomson recorded a career-high nine saves as the Terriers snapped defending Patriot League champion Navy's 11-game win streak against conference opponents with a 2-1 victory. The senior defended against six Navy corners, as the Midshipmen outshot the Terriers, 24-5. Boston U. is riding a four-game unbeaten streak as Thomson has started all eight contests and played all 750 minutes in goal this season.

NICHOLAS CESTARO, HOLY CROSS
Fr.,M, Massapequa, N.Y.
Cestaro posted his first collegiate point with an assist in the Crusaders 2-2 tie with Dartmouth and then netted his first collegiate goal and tallied an assist as Holy Cross defeated Loyola Maryland 2-0 in the Patriot League opener.

ETHAN KUTLER, COLGATE So., F/M, Lansing, N.Y.
Kutler scored the equalizer in the 73rd minute of Colgate's 2-1 win at Lafayette and then assisted on the game-winner in the second overtime.

CIARAN NUGENT, LEHIGH Sr., GK, Dedham, Mass.
Nugent made 11 saves during the Mountain Hawks 1-1 week, including six in Lehigh's 2-1 victory over No. 14 American.

JONATHAN GRAD, BUCKNELL Sr., M, Charlotte, N.C.
Grad scored the golden goal 2:14 into overtime to send Bucknell to a 2-1 road win over Army in the Patriot League opener.

GRANT VALENSTEIN, NAVY Sr., D, Laguna Hills, Calif.
Valenstein had a hand in both goals with a goal and assist in Navy's 2-0 shutout of Longwood.

JUSTIN KIM, ARMY Jr., M, Gardena, Calif.
Kim scored the first goal of his career in the second half of Army's 2-1 overtime loss to Bucknell.

KEVIN WRIGHT, HOLY CROSS Jr., M, McKinney, Texas
Wright notched his first shutout of the season and seventh of his career in the Crusaders 2-0 win over Loyola Maryland.

CORVIAS OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
LILY KRAEMER, NAVY
Sr., F, Pitman, N.J.
Kraemer had three goals, including two game-winners, as Navy posted wins over Mount St. Mary's and Lafayette. The three goals for the week bested Kraemer's previous season totals of two goals, achieved in both her junior and senior seasons. The senior is second on the Mids with eight points (three goals, two assists) this season.

CORVIAS DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JADE SEABROOK, NAVY
Sr., D, St. Paris, Ohio
Seabrook scored a goal in a victory over Lafayette and helped anchor a Mids back line that shut out both the Pards and Mount St. Mary's in a 2-0 week. The senior played the most minutes of any field player this past week with 135 minutes and was instrumental in limiting the opponents to just four shots on goal and seven corner kicks.

CORVIAS GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
ANI NAHAPETIAN, LEHIGH
Jr., GK, Pleasanton, Calif.
Nahapetian made some big saves and was stellar in goal to preserve a 0-0 double-overtime draw at Bucknell for her sixth career shutout and third this season. The junior finished the contest with eight saves, including a diving stop to her left in the 19th minute off a corner kick and a point-blank save at 61:16 to keep the game scoreless.

Fr., F, Tewksbury, Mass.
Spencer extended her lead as the top Patriot League scorer with her eighth of the season in the Crusaders 1-0 win at American on Saturday when she lofted a shot in the 16th minute over the Eagles goalkeeper. It was the fifth game-winning goal for the Holy Cross freshman this season.

CARLY MCCABE, HOLY CROSS Sr., GK, Barrington, R.I.
McCabe recorded her eighth shutout of the season, stopping four shots in the Crusaders 1-0 win at American.

JENNA FISHER, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Jr., F, Longmeadow, Mass.
Fisher scored her fourth goal of the season, the equalizer in the 65th minute, as Boston University salvaged a 1-1 draw with Army.

CATHERINE WILLIAMS, COLGATE, Jr., F/M, Buffalo, N.Y.
Williams netted her second goal of the season, and first game-winner, with a golden goal in a 1-0 overtime win over Loyola Maryland.

ERIN CUMMINGS, COLGATE, Jr., GK, Ashburn, Va.
Cummings recorded two saves and posted her first shutout of the season in the Raiders 1-0 overtime win at Loyola Maryland.

ALLY PASQUARIELLO, HOLY CROSS Sr., D, Suffield, Conn.
Pasquariello played all 90 minutes and helped limit the American offense to four shots on target as the Crusaders recorded their ninth shutout this season.

SAM GOTTLIEB, ARMY So., D, Arlington, Mass.
Gottlieb scored her second goal of the season in the 18th minute of a 1-1 tie at Boston University.

GABBY TOFIG, LEHIGH
So., F, Newtown, Pa.
Tofig had three goals, including both game-winners, in a pair of victories for the Mountain Hawks over the weekend. She gave Lehigh a 2-0 lead midway through the second half of a 3-1 win over Holy Cross in Patriot League action on Saturday, and scored consecutive goals to turn a 1-1 tie into a 3-1 lead in a 4-2 victory against Sacred Heart on Sunday. Tofig has scored six goals in the past five games with Lehigh winning four of those contests, and leads the Patriot League with seven goals and 14 points this season.

Fratoni helped lead Lehigh to a pair of victories by contributing on both ends of the field over the weekend. She put Lehigh in front 1-0 in the second half against Holy Cross as the Mountain Hawks went on to a 3-1 win on Saturday, allowing the only goal in the final minute and holding the Crusaders to eight shots in the game. Fratoni assisted on Lehigh's first goal in a 4-2 win over Sacred Heart on Sunday. She is Lehigh's first Corvias Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week since 2006.

CORVIAS GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
AMANDA DiDOMIZIO, COLGATE
Sr., GK, Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.
DiDomizio earns the Corvias Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week award for the second straight time and sixth in her career after coming up big with eight saves to lead Colgate to a key Patriot League win with a 1-0 triumph over Lafayette on Saturday. Each of the eight saves came with the game scoreless before the Raiders broke through with the lone goal in the 61st minute. It was DiDomizio's second straight shutout in Patriot League play, and she has stopped all 17 shots she has faced in League action to lead the Raiders to a 2-0 record.

CORVIAS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
MOLLY KLARE, COLGATE
Fr., M, Wilmette, Ill.
Klare played all 70 minutes in the midfield to help Colgate post a 1-0 shutout of Lafayette on Saturday. She keyed a Raiders defense that did not allow a shot on goal in the last 15 minutes of play as Colgate scored the game-winner with under 10 minutes to go. Klare also recorded a shot late in the game. She has started every game for the Raiders this season.

SHANNON KEEN, BUCKNELL Jr., GK, Hatfield, Pa.
Keen made three saves in a 1-0 shutout of defending Patriot League champion American on Saturday.

REBECCA LIBUTTI, COLGATE Sr., M, South Windsor, Conn.
Libutti had the lone goal in the 61st minute of Colgate's 1-0 win over Lafayette on Saturday.

CASSIE LAWRENCE, BUCKNELL Sr., F, Arnold, Md.
Lawrence had the only goal of the game in the seventh minute of Bucknell's 1-0 win over American.

JULIA WARD, LEHIGH So., GK, Belfast, Maine
Ward stopped 13 shots combined in two victories for Lehigh over the weekend.

MAUREEN CONNOLLY, HOLY CROSS Fr., F, New Canaan, Conn.
Connolly had a goal in both games for the Crusaders last week, including the tying score in a 3-2 win over Siena on Wednesday.

Molten Patriot League Volleyball Weekly Awards

MOLTEN PLAYER OF THE WEEK
AMY MATULA, LEHIGH,
Jr., S, Memphis, Tenn.
Matula captained the Lehigh offense as the Mountain Hawks swept Patriot League matches at Loyola Maryland and Navy to improve to 5-0 in league play for the first time in program history. The junior recorded 63 assists through six sets for an impressive average of 10.5 assists per set. Matula posted her eighth double-double (35 assists, 12 digs) of the season in Lehigh's straight-set win at Loyola and tallied 28 assists and seven digs in a straight-set victory at Navy.

MOLTEN ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
MARY MULLEN, HOLY CROSS,
Fr., MH, Mendota Heights, Minn.
Mullen posted an outstanding .733 hitting percentage as the Crusaders posted only their second win over Colgate in the last 10 seasons. The freshman tallied 11 kills on 15 attempts with no errors for her first collegiate double-digit kills performance in the 3-2 victory over the Raiders. Mullen was also strong at the net with five blocks.

HONORABLE MENTION

MANDY SIFFERLEN, HOLY CROSS, So., OH, Sudbury, Mass.
Sifferlen led the team with 19 kills as the Crusaders posted only their second win over Colgate in the last 10 seasons.

KATIE SYLAKOWSKI, NAVY, Jr., MH, Escondido, Calif.
Sylakowski led Navy in kills and hitting percentage in a 1-1 week and the 14 kills in the Mids 3-2 win over Bucknell tied her career high for the most kills in a five-set match.

SARAH KATZ, AMERICAN, Jr., OH, Louisville, Ky.
Katz recorded double-digit kills in both matches as American opened Patriot League play with straight-set victories over Bucknell and Lafayette.

CAROLYN BOCKRATH, ARMY, Fr., MB, Newport Beach, Calif.
Bockrath had a .538 hitting percentage and was second on the team with 7 kills and tied for the team lead with four blocks in a 3-0 win over Colgate.

M-F Athletic Patriot League Cross Country Weekly Awards

M-F ATHLETIC MALE RUNNER OF THE WEEK
RYAN MAHALSKY, LEHIGH
Sr., Hillsborough, N.J.
Mahalsky earned the individual title in a solid field at the Main Line Invitational on Thursday by completing the 4-mile course in a time of 19:25.20. He beat out 118 other runners in the meet which included nationally-ranked Villanova as well as regionally-ranked Penn and La Salle. Mahalsky finished seven seconds ahead of the second-place finisher, and earns the second M-F Athletic Patriot League Male Runner of the Week award in his career.

M-F ATHLETIC FEMALE RUNNER OF THE WEEK
ROSA MORIELLO, BOSTON UNIVERSITY
Sr., Naugatuck, Conn.
Moriello claimed first place at the Ted Owen Invitational by running the 5K course in a time of 16:59.7, and led the Terriers to the overall title in the 16-team field. It was her fourth victory in the last five races, including the individual title at the 2013 Patriot League Championship. Moriello earns the second M-F Athletic Patriot League Female Runner of the Week award in her career.

M-F ATHLETIC MALE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
SCOTT MASON, LEHIGH
Fr., Wyndmoor, Pa.
Mason placed 25th out of 119 runners at the Main Line Invitational on Thursday with a time of 20:23.10 in the 4-mile race. He was Lehigh's third finisher in the race and came within a minute of the first-place finisher, teammate Ryan Mahalsky.

M-F ATHLETIC FEMALE ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
BRENNAN SHARKEY, BUCKNELL
Fr., Hackettstown, N.J.
Sharkey placed 39th out of 85 runners in a strong field at the Panorama Farms Invitational by completing the 6K course in 22:42. The meet included a pair of nationally-ranked teams and seven teams ranked in their respective regions, and Sharkey was the eighth freshman to cross the finish line. She is named M-F Athletic Patriot League Female Rookie of the Week for the third time, tying three other runners for the most in League history.

ELIZABETH WEILER, LEHIGH Jr., Chester Springs, Pa.
Weiler finished in 17th place with a time of 21:44 in the 6K Roy Griak Invitational, which featured 10 nationally-ranked squads in the 35-team field.

BEN RAVETZ, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Sr., Blue Bell, Pa.
Ravetz was the runner-up at the Ted Owen Invitational with a time of 25:51.0 in the 8K race.

JOHN DUGAN, BUCKNELL Sr., Ramsey, N.J.
Dugan came in 38th place out of 107 runners at the Panorama Farms Invitational with a time of 25:07 in the 8K race which featured 12 teams all ranked in their respective regions.

MONTANA DiPIETRANTONIO, BUCKNELL Sr., Mount Laurel, N.J.
DiPietrantonio placed 32nd out of 85 runners at the Panorama Farms Invitational with a time of 22:31.
