CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Eight Patriot League student-athletes received honors from the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) for their performance last week.
The honorees come from five different schools, with three from Holy Cross, two from Army and one for Lehigh, Bucknell and Loyola Maryland. Patriot League student-athletes received Corvias ECAC weekly honors in men's basketball, men and women's swimming and diving and women's indoor track and field.
Lehigh sophomore Tim Kempton and Bucknell freshman Nana Foulland each received Corvias weekly honors for men's basketball. Both came in the Division I South where Kempton was named Co-Player of the Week and Foulland took the Co-Rookie of the Week award. Three female swimmers were recognized, including a pair from freshmen from Holy Cross as Nina Sparre was named Division I New England Swimmer of the Week and Maeve Westover claimed the region's Rookie of the Week award. Loyola freshman Maggie Garahan was named the Division I South Rookie of the Week. On the men's side, Holy Cross senior Brendan Higgins claimed the Division I New England Diver of the Week award while Army's Josh Urnezis won the same honor in the Division I Metro/Upstate region.
